Elay Understood (Pronounced El-aye Understood)
Born and raised right here in good oleโ Saginaw Michigan, in the area code of 989. She graduated from Bridgeport Public High School; class of 2002
For seven years, she held the position at the Bridgeport Public Library as a Library Page-the person who put books back on the shelf every day. During that particular span of time, a former teacher who she really thought was a really cool teacher from her high school strongly suggested that she changed career choice as a writer because he said she would not be successful and would not make any money off of it.
Delta Community College is where she chose to continue her education in the Literary Arts Department. It was her second year, next to last semester when she decided to bow out gracefully from college as her Creative Writing Professor constantly condoned her for thinking too far out of the box when writing.
Determined to find her own way, Elay searched grueling for ways to publish her own writings as she knew she could make it regardless of what the powers of โProfessionalismโ suggested her โnotโ to be or do.
Elay Understood is happily married to her husband Maurice Kelly Jr. and she really enjoys the โmarried lifeโ.
