Later today I am going camping for the first time in my life...seriously. Cubby has been camping before so I'm counting on him and the Scouts to show me the ropes. I have no idea what to expect aside from sleeping in a tent and bonfires. Kerrie did make sure we have all of our supplies (what would we do without her) and a family friend will also be there. I'll be fine. This will be fine. Right?

He found Mr. Beast bars in Walmart and now it's his favorite store. You would have thought he actually met Mr. Beast there 🤦‍♂️ We've tried 3 flavors so far and I have to say, they are pretty good.
Anyone else's kid obsessed with Mr. Beast? Cubby likes the reaction and the charity videos.

It's her favorite time of year. The windows are open, a gentle breeze is blowing and the chipmunks and rabbits are are everywhere. 4 years later, we still aren't sure who picked who. Also not sure how she finds that comfortable but she'll stay like that for hours.

I want to talk about an important topic. Snacks.
We are big movie watchers and with that comes snacks. My go to snack is just about anything from Little Debbie (and the peanut brittle that Kerrie won't let me eat in bed). She's good with anything chocolate and Jacob always wants popcorn.

What is your go-to movie night snack?

Over 4 years ago, Jacob asked us to play Clash Royale with him so Kerrie and I both downloaded it. Now, we all still play this game everyday, we're all in the same "Clan" and it's become one of those things we do. We compare stats, play each other and recommend card decks. Who would have thought that some silly phone game a 6 year old asked us to play would still be fun all this time later.

Does your family have a thing? Is it as random as ours?

I want to give The Michael Carr Group a huge shout out and thank you for bringing on to the team and teaching me the ways of real estate. Thank you for being there night and day to answer my questions, making us (Kerrie & Jacob too) feel like part of the family and being real, down to Earth, good people.
And thank you to my wife, Kerrie, for coming home from her full time job everyday to help me with my new career. For getting me through real estate school and being awesome.

I just started reading "The Power of One More" by Ed Mylett . Kerrie bought it after seeing one of his inspirational speeches on video but she's already in the middle of who knows how many books so I grabbed it first. Great read so far, might have to check out his podcast.

Being a Realtor isn't just about selling houses, it's about being there for people even when they are not your client.
At my open house today, I had several neighbors come through who knew the previous owners. One lady in particular came in, said she was friends with the family as a child and asked if she could take a tour, of course I said yes. At one point, she started talking to me and we ended up walking around together. She began to get teary eyed telling me about what had changed and how she remembered things. It was nice to hear about the history of the house and she seemed to enjoy having someone listen to her. This woman was very upfront about having no interest in buying or selling but that didn't bother me one bit. She was still worth my time.

Tonight is the first day of Hanukkah and I'd like to wish all who celebrates a very Happy Holiday.

Kerrie loves to read and Jacob seems to be following in her foot steps (at least if it's a manga book). Last year she saw a book tree somewhere on social media and decided to try that out instead of a traditional Christmas tree. This year, our tree doubled in size and they only used about 3/4 of their books (maybe less) putting it together. Yes, she really reads that much.

If you've never been to Aunt Charlotte's Candies in Merchantville, NJ you are seriously missing out! Aunt Charlotte's has been around for over 100 years and makes some of the most delicious candies & chocolates. We couldn't resist buying some favorites when we were in town for the Christmas Parade recently.

Who doesn't like hot chocolate? This is a bulk recipe we make every year.
