💍We’ve been partnered with The Mansion for two years now! When we toured their newly renovated building we fell in love with the clean and beautiful aesthetic. We’ve loved working with the couples getting married here as they all understand the beauty of the space and are picking out cakes that complement it so well. We are loving all of the clean, sleek and modern designs. Most have a touch of gold and maybe some greenery to really make them pop! 🎂

Friendly reminder for custom cakes, the next two months are our busy season! Half of September is already booked and most weeks in October are 2/3 filled. All orders require a 50% deposit. Unfortunately a pending order does not secure your date.

Happy Mother’s Day to all celebrating today. We hope everyone has a chance to celebrate today. Whether it is making new memories or reminiscing on old memories. 🌻🌷Today is a bittersweet day. I am so happy to spend my first Mother’s Day with my girl but also a sense of guilt for celebrating a day that is so hard for so many for various reasons. I’ve spent the last 13 years avoiding social media on this day so if today is a little tough for you, we see you. 💜

We cannot thank all of you for the support our first two weeks open! We have been selling out every day. Our bakers have been working over time and late nights to get you all your favorite treats back in stock every day. Christmas orders are officially sold out, but we are working hard to get extra product for walk ins this weekend. Thank you everyone, the turnouts each day are more than we could have imagined. We love getting to see and speak with each and every one of you that comes in.

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who visited us this weekend, waited in line, commented on our posts, and sent us kind words. I have not been able to respond to every comment, but we have read them all and greatly appreciate them.

Friday night Russ and I sat up before going to bed and I said what if people don't like our pastries. What if we built this all and people don't come?

He told me I was crazy. Reminded me of the amount of people that came knocking on the window all week. Or all the people who have come weekly for the past ten years.

I know all those facts, but I still didn't believe it. After all this time I am still in a state of disbelief. Disbelief in the fact that I get to bake for a living, something I have truly loved most of my life. Over the years I consider myself so lucky that I have a passion that can be turned into a career. Not just a career. but our livelihood. With the addition of Russ, it has become a main focus of our family. A place for us to provide for our family, but also to create so many memories.

So thank you to everyone for the support. I got a chance to see so many people who use to shop at our first little 1100 square foot store next to the Vac and Sew. Thank you for coming along for the ride. Our success now is a direct result of your support.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) we will be closed while the contractors finish up some tile work, that we cannot wait for you to see! No worries, though this give us a day to get even more product to you on Wednesday!

We finally did it!

Tomorrow is our soft opening!

If you can't believe it is finally here, neither can we!

This has been one of the hardest feats we have undertaken in our 10 years of business, but it was all worth it. We cannot wait for everyone to see our new space and finally get a taste of some scones you all have been waiting months to have again!

We will be open tomorrow 8:30-3 with many of your Sunflour favorites. We still have a few surprises up our sleeves in the next few weeks in terms of finishing our space, but we wanted to get product you to you all as soon as we could!

Our regular items, as well as espresso beverages and the start of our decorated Christmas cookies will all be available tomorrow!

We do expect a large volume of people in the shop tomorrow so please be patient, we have quite a few new members of our team that are still learning.

We are offering a limited menu of Turkey Day offerings. All orders can be placed via our online site. Simply go to our website and click the Order Online tab!

This year we will have no retail open during Thanksgiving pickups and no custom orders for the holiday as we transition into our new spot! Details on the opening of retail will be posted in the coming week or two!

🥧 All thanksgiving items will be picked up Wednesday 11/22, 12-4.

🥧Cut off for online orders is the end of the day Monday 11/20.

To join our team, we are looking for candidates who are team players and want to work with a great team! The environment is fast paced and we are looking for people with great energy to be a part of our opening team at the new store. Some positions have flexibility on days and times. These positions are year round and not seasonal. Please do not apply if you can only work part of the year. Cookie decorators and bakers must have experience (home experience is fine for cookie decorators), but the barista/counter worker we are willing to train the right person! Counter position candidates who are only available on weekends must be available both Saturday and Sunday.

You all don’t know how happy I am to finally have some updates for you! Work in underway! Today the contractors put in the initial framing for our built ins on the right wall. The built ins will be a designated area for retail displays of greeting cards, candles, party supplies and more. This area will also house our front of house trash can as well as all the coffee fixings. Last but not least our display cakes will be housed in these arches as well!

Yesterday I missed being able to share Mom’s birthday carrot cake with all of you at the shop. This year me and Mallory made mom’s cake at home. The batter alone took me almost four hours but I cannot wait for Mal to have all the memories of baking all the things and for her to hear all the memories of her grandmom she shares her middle name with.
