Detoxification, the process by which the body clears itself of substances such as drugs and alcohol, is just the first step on the path to recovery from addiction. Although detox is often thought of as only the physical or medicinal removal of toxic substances, detox programs like those at Lindner Center of HOPE also include supportive care to address any medical or psychological complications that may arise during withdrawal.
For a breakdown of how different substances can complicate withdrawal, visit our blog: https://lindnercenterofhope.org/blog/demystifying-detox/

Lindner Center of HOPE's Adolescent Partial Hospitalization team was honored at a recent Reds game for their outstanding work with our community's youth! ⚾️ ❤️ 🤍
This program provides day treatment for teen patients during weekdays, while they can use their learned skills in the evenings and weekends at home.
Thank you to the Cincinnati Reds and United Way of Greater Cincinnati for the partnership providing $1,000 grants to each of the Reds Country Cares partners this year!
We'd like to give a big shoutout to the 8th grade students of The Summit Country Day School! 🌟
These students chose to make a difference with their capstone project, focusing on the Lindner Center of HOPE. Not only did they raise awareness about the Center, but they also donated $400 from a successful bake sale!
As part of their project, they interviewed Dr. Lorie Walter, Medical Director of Mindful Transitions, our Adult Partial Hospitalization Program. They even visited the Center and dove deeper into understanding mental health treatments with Dr. Tracy Cummings, Associate Chief Medical Officer for Clinical Excellence.
These young scholars have a bright future ahead of them! 💫
Last Sunday, Lindner Center of HOPE hosted more than 200 community members at Community Education Day, in acknowledgement of Mental Health Month, at Manor House in Mason. The enlightening half-day workshop offered an opportunity for community members to enhance their awareness of mental health and wellness.

Additionally, participants engaged in enriching breakout sessions on topics such depression, empowered parenting, finding a therapist, addictions, and more.
The event also marked a heartwarming farewell Michael G. Leadbetter, MD, as he embarked on his year-long friendship bus tour across the United States, raising awareness around the vital role of friendship and connection in mental wellness.
