Esmond Insurance Agency and our Insurance Carrier Partners are closely monitoring the developments surrounding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and are focusing on the continued safety of our staff and clients, while simultaneously attempting to be Above All in Service during this uncertain time. After consultation with government officials, business leaders, and industry leaders, we have made the decision to limit our office from client visits until further notice. During this time, the health and safety of our staff are at the forefront of our decision making. Regardless, our phones will be staffed. As such, please exercise patience and know that if you have to leave a message, we will return your calls. We intend for business to continue as normal, and will remain able to bind coverage via e-signature applications. We do not anticipate any changes in these operations.

-Make a payment on your Erie Insurance policy (If you are set up on auto-pay, please contact us before making any online payments.)

BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED: The Boil Water Advisory affecting Union County Public Works water customers has been lifted. Multiple water quality tests confirmed E.coli is no longer present in the water system. We appreciate assistance from the City of Monroe’s Water Quality Lab for helping expedite testing results.

Customers are being notified of updates via the phone number associated with their account. Customers can resume normal water use after running faucets for 3 minutes, discarding ice in their freezer, and flushing their refrigerator water line.

ALERT: All Union County Public Works customers are under a Boil Water Advisory effective immediately due to routine water samples showing the presence of E. coli. The health and safety of our water customers is our top priority. Union County Public Works is working with the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality on quality control measures. We are updating this information consistently.

A Boil Water Advisory is a public notification informing water customers to boil their tap water before using it. Advisories are issued in response to an event that could allow contaminants to enter the water distribution system.
