Hi there, I’m Jill Nijakowski and I’m glad you’re here! I specialize in dimensional color. Welcome!
Take a look around and schedule your free consultation so I can get you on the fast track to the hair of your dreams!
Went camping in Mohican this weekend. Not only did I randomly ran into my aunt Jenny that I haven’t seen in over a year (talk about kismet) but I was slapped in the face with the reminder that I am not exempt from frizz…or curl.
There are a lot of great products that help with frizz but you bet I don’t have any in, make better choices than me. 🤣🤣
I can’t help but notice how many people have been coming in and saying they need to change but aren’t sure what exactly they’re looking for…is this you too?
In my opinion, hair is meant to be changed. It’s something that continuously grows and allows us to express ourselves in different ways at different points in our lives.
Sometimes shorter hair is easier and sometimes long is best, it just depends on the season of life we’re in.
Sometimes having yellow hair is more fun than your natural hair, but I digress 😉
If you ever feel like you want a change but aren’t sure what, just ask! We can talk about it and go over different options. That’s what I’m here for and I’m always going to give you my honest opinion on whatever it is we are discussing.
Also remember anything we do to your hair is temporary and not forever. It’s so much fun to change your hair, even if it’s just 2” shorter or slightly darker.
I have a couple of appointments available next week if you’re ready for a change!
Do you feel like your hair is eternally greasy? Here are a few things that may be sneaking under the radar that you may not have thought about yet.
⭕️ washing your hair brushes regularly is a HUGE help in keeping your hair less greasy. Remove the built up hair weekly (if not daily) and scrub with dishsoap once a month.
⭕️ keep conditioner away from your roots! Only focus your conditioner on what would hang out of a ponytail… For most of us that is about 6 inches down the hair shaft
⭕️ if you feel especially oily, you may need to shampoo your hair twice instead of just once. Often times, the first shampoo removes the dirt oils on the surface level and the second shampoo is where you actually getting your hair clean.
Hope this helps!
Be Kind (rewind)
Chris went a whole year without a refresh and my goodness she is extra glowy and fresh with some more blonde!
Life happens and sometimes you can’t back in when you want but know I’m always here for you when you’re ready. 🤗
Ps. Happy pride month 🏳️🌈
Heeeeee’s baaaack!
As most of you know, for the last 4 months Cole had been working down in Atlanta, which, as you can imagine, was pretty tough on both of us.
The last two weeks he’s been home he’s finished his operating engineer apprenticeship and is officially a journeyman. 4 years of hard work paid off 👏🏼
I threw together a last minute surprise party this weekend to celebrate him not only being home but finishing his apprenticeship too.
Man was it fun breaking in the new yard with the mini bikes too🤣
Change is good and Jessica needed some big time!
Cut about 8-9” off and added a lot of blonde 🤩
Key point during our consultation was talking about expectations of when Jessica would be back, I know she’s very low maintenance so I place her color in a way she doesn’t feel like she HAS to be back, more so she’s ready because it’s been 8-12 months.
Are you thinking of making any changes to your hair? Share with me what you’re thinking!
Finally put up the bird feeder I talked about doing for the last year and a half, excited for my first customer!
Hope yall are as excited as I am 🤣
Holy flash back!
I was searching for a bridal shower dress and stumbled upon this gem. I specifically remember LOVING this look, layering a dress and jeans…it’s not one I can see myself revisiting though.
What’s a trend that you loved at one time but can’t see yourself doing again?
Spent the weekend in San Antonio, Texas celebrating my momma’s retirement AND birthday!
We had the best time, weather was great, what a beautiful city.
Go on the trip. Make the memories. Spend extra time. It was worth it. ❤️
Now everyone wish Linda a happy birthday and retirement! (She’s too humble to draw attention to herself 😉)
Went to give Lola her breakfast this morning and completely dumped the cup of food into her water dish like it was switched (it wasn’t 🥴) Needless to say she wasn’t impressed and I had to scoop out her now pre-softened food into her food dish and clean her water dish.
Anybody else create their own problems and play April fools jokes on themselves? 🤣
How was Easter? Share your pics in the comments!
Just here to state the obvious thing on everyone’s mind - HOORAY FOR LONGER DAYS!!!
I’m SO excited we made it over the hump and now are going to have longer days and more light 😭😍.
It’s been a rough winter, mostly because Cole has been working out of town for the last 3 months but the end is near.
Hope you had a great Monday ❤️
Almost wedding ready for miss Tess 😻
Can you believe she went about 5 months in between appointments?! Despite Tess having a naturally dark base color we have found a good balance of blonde to keep her on the low maintenance side of things.
Are you wanting to change your hair? Let’s talk!
Happy Valentine’s day!
Hope you feel the love today, whether it be from a friend, your dog or cat, your kids, your family.
Traditionally, I’ve never really loved Valentine’s Day because it makes a lot of people feel very inadequate. I try and focus on the love of all the relationships around me.
It’s just Lola and I this year (Cole has been working out of state since the new year) BUT we get to see him this weekend, and we are so excited!
Lots of love 💕
Ok maybe not this calendar year but in the last year of you happy!
The sun definitely brightened my mood a bit today so let’s keep it going with some positivity and posting some fun/happy pics in the comments.
Yesterday I spent my day at Penta getting these girls ready for their state board exam.
I had fun, I don’t think they would say the same 🤣 regardless it was fun to help out and humbling to remember how nerve wracking the prep is.
As a lot of you know I love to read! I almost met my goal last year, only 2 books short. Reading has really given me so much peace of mind and a healthy way to escape when I just need to focus on one thing. Not only do I learn, but it’s fun to take my imagination somewhere else.
I tried audio books for the first time last year and enjoyed them and paid attention more than I thought I would haha. My favorite audiobooks were celebrity memoirs because they were the ones that read them which made it much more interesting to me.
Please share with me any of your favorite books you have read recently, as I am looking to add to my list for this year!
My favorites from this list:
The Hating Game
Pack Up the Moon
Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

What’s the most beautiful thing about hair?
You can always change it. 😎
Change can be equally fun and scary no matter how big or small but I encourage you to give it a try!
What a year! From starting off this year with the loss of our boy Swayze to peak of the summer getting engaged and buying a house in the fall we had our share of ups and downs in between.
Always thankful for another year on this earth. Another year thankful for every supporter, client, friend and more. ✨cheers to 2024✨
Just over here trying to figure out how Christmas is in TWO weeks?!
Cole and I moved into our new home last weekend and it’s been all consuming. I’ve yet to think much about Christmas!
Are you ready or do you need more time like me? 🤣
How was your thanksgiving?
How much did you pack in to your long holiday weekend?
What are you looking forward to?
I feel like I’ve been so busy in my own life that I haven’t been engaging with you on here. So share with me how life is going for you!
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope today is enjoyable for you and yours ❤️
I’m sincerely so thankful for every guest that has sat in my chair this year (and every year) and will always do my best to serve you the best I can.
Wish we could just stick to hair changes instead of time changes.
I’ll get used to a big hair chop before I get used to it being dark at 5:30 any day!
It’s that time of year again…happy Halloween, stay warm out there!
When’s the last time you made a change to your hair?
Got more than a trim?
Changed your “usual”?
This is your sign, change is GOOD! Even the most subtle change can make a big difference and feel brand new!
Most of you know I’m a big advocate for trades and going to Penta. I graduated 18 years ago 😳 and try and give back when I can.
Last night was the Penta advisory board meeting and it’s purpose is to help each trade with workforce development, to give students an idea of what the “real world” beyond school looks like and what to expect.
Once a year everyone involved meets to see how we can help each other in the field and in the labs so students can truly be prepared and successful.
In the last 5 years enrollment has doubled, how amazing is that?! Please, give your kids a chance to go to Penta or go into a trade, college isn’t for everyone.
Wedding hair for Kaitlyn! I’m so excited for her and her upcoming nuptials next weekend.
Things to think about with your hair when getting married-
-don’t make any big changes right before your wedding
-be sure to schedule your color appointment at 1-2 weeks out, not days before.
-use your time at the salon to relax, you know you need it!
If you have any pre-wedding advice please share, some of us need all the help we can get 😉
Settle the debate…

A collection of some of my all time fav brunettes 🤩
How it started vs how it ended…
I hadn’t had Erin in my chair for a year! She prefers to be low maintenance and we keep that communication clear so she can go as long as possible in between visits.
Low maintenance doesn’t mean no maintenance after all, I sent her home with a toning shampoo and good product to keep her color looking as good as possible until I see her next!
Had the best time in Cleveland yesterday with Teresa at a balayage and foiling class!
It’s been 5 months since my last class and I’m so glad we did it. This class was just what I needed to light a fire for new inspiration.
