Super thankful to all the truckers out there.

Bought this truck 3 years ago and rebuilt it in homage to my dad. Had a friend approach me about driving it down to Texas and back. After much thought I decided to send the old girl out doing what my father always did...pulling re**er.

A quick update since we haven’t posted in a while. 95 got some much needed TLC while her pilot had a week off to have Lasik done. The week before Dan took off, 1/5 gear dropped out of his trans. So when he got it back in, our guys got right on it getting the trans out and sending it off for rebuild. It got a new clutch, steer tires, rebuilt trans, some wiring issues fixed, and a new jack shaft between the rears due to a weight getting tossed causing a vibration. Then, his first week back out with it he had a pretty exciting week. He now is getting a new extinguisher, because as he was headed east bound on US-10 by Motley, MN he came up on a Halvor Lines company truck that had just started to catch fire on the side of the road! Despite his best efforts with his extinguisher and the other drivers extinguisher, he almost had the fire out but didn’t quite have enough powder between the two. Fun fact, did you know that Dan actually went to college for firefighting? Here at FTI, our thoughts and prayers truly go out to the driver of the truck that burned down. He was fine, no one was injured, but he had his entire life in that truck according to him. Dan stuck around with him while fire crews and MN state patrol arrived to make sure he was taken care of and had a ride to a terminal. We weren’t going to leave a driver on the side of the road, and obviously neither was Halvor Lines! They sent someone out for the driver almost immediately after they received the call. We are glad to be partnered with a company that shares the same values we do towards their drivers. We are all a family out here

Well Dan is in the 359 while his is in the shop. Still not giving any updates on his until it is done. Lets just say its not the best news. BUT, lets give some updates on this old girl! Theres not much finer than a 359’er! She came into the shop to address some little issues, ended up having a fairly major issue corrected. All in all a productive week on ol 85. Dan put on a new driver side mirror, polished out the window sills and swapped armrests, changed some gauges out for the correct ones, made all the gauge bezels match, added some switch extensions that he had laying around, new dome light and cover, dual revolution “map” lights, installed a parking heater in the bunk, solved a wiring issue with the bunk fan, Jim put new U-Joints in the steering shaft, adjusted the bump stops to give her a bit better turn radius, and Mitch installed a new air compressor! A lot got done in the past 2.5 days, maybe next Monday Dan’s expression won’t be as gloomy as the first Monday he drove it 😂😂

Every driver knows what is going on here… That moment when you WANT to take everything out of your truck, but have to pick and choose what the necessities are since its just a short term rental 😂 Dan is moving on into the 359 AirBNB while Lucas and the guys do a head gasket and take a look at his internal motor health

Then theres a photodump of Dan in 95, who got to go back out to Idaho this week for the first time in over a month! Also including some pictures at the end of where he got sideswiped while parked in a drop spot by a sea wagon…

Whilee 99 is getting done, Greg has been running truck 85 and lookin cool while doing it!

Remember the exciting/surprising news? Well, we decided to shift gears a little, parked our trailers, and are going to do some power only work for Halvor Lines! Exciting to see what will happen

95 and 99 had a beautiful sky to sleep under this week while on a paper run. Just got off the phone, and will have an exciting (and surprising) announcement coming on Monday!

While 99 is getting work done, Greg is piloting 85. Theres just something about a couple of flat tops to make you smile

This past weekend while Greg is on vacation, Daniel T Dodge came in and added lights to number 99. In addition to adding mirror lights, under glow, dome lights, and load lights; He also got a touch bored and did a quick polish on the big girl. Then Monday, in the process of replacing thrust washers, Lucas Murray found the camshaft to be flaking. So unfortunately for Greg, Tiny is taking the 359, truck 85, for a few days

The captions say it all, both trucks are westbound this week. Ones hitting Colorado, ones hitting Idaho. I think you can guess who’s going where…

No, its not a dream. Yesterday 85 made it out of the shop to pull its FIRST paying load! Owner Jaime McCurdy Jim Fischbach took her out on her maiden voyage to tow this trailer over to La Crosse. Lookin’ good bossman!

🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸We had our very own Truck 99 join in the Peoples Convoy! Greg joined in from La Crosse all the way through to Portage. Even though we aren’t running the whole way to DC, just know our thoughts are with the rest of the drivers in the convoy! Here at Fischbach Trucking Inc we believe in the FREEDOM of CHOICE! Give em hell boys and just know that you have Fischbach Sr looking down and smiling! Proud of all of the drivers with the backbone to stand up for what is right! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

99 and 95

Both 99 and 95 are up in the Northland to finish out the week. One had beer boxes headed up the north shore, the other had to strut west to Grand Rapids. Then they both reload with gardening soil for Wisco and more on road shenanigans!

Its bittersweet when the roll door TR01 goes out behind 95 to Idaho. Bitter because he likes TR26 better, sweet because he knows that next week his will pull like a brand new trailer! Getting an alignment and some bushings done on TR26!

Through all the adversity, we will find a way. Dan in 95 had 3 separate load cancellations today alone for his reload coming home. Yet with slim pickins, still found one coming back. A hail mary, that ended up connecting. Greg in 99 was also plagued with the same problems today. If not for cancellations, loads were getting booked out from under him. Welcome to January/February in trucking. Great job making it work guys! And the trailer is in a dip, it doesn’t lean that bad 😂
