The McAllen Rainbow Room/Rainbow RGV Community Partners
Rainbow RGV Community Partners is a non-profit organization operated by volunteers
Rainbow RGV Community Partners sponsors the Rainbow Room - an onsite resource center for CPS caseworkers to obtain emergency supplies for the children and the families they serve.
We are delighted to say that the first Birthday Box donated by Brianna Gutierrez will be blessing a child in the DFPS system. The box includes candles, balloons, plates, cake mix, frosting, a can of sprite (to supplement eggs and oil), a pan, and a birthday card created by Lily and Amelia (daughters of Victor and Olivia Martinez). We look forward to spreading the birthday cheer for other children in the DFPS system.
Donations being accepted with a grateful heart. Thank you!
We would like to thank Green Earth for their continued partnership with us and their generous donations throughout the years. If you have used clothing items and would like to contribute to our cause, we ask you to consider using the yellow bins around the RGV for those items.
April may be Child Abuse Prevention Month but for us it is year round effort. If you know of a child that may be suffering from abuse, please contact the Texas Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-252-5400.
Don't forget to wear your blue tomorrow
With the cold season coming to an end, that means the lovely ladies in the local parks will be returning home. Prior to their departure, they made sure to provide our RGV Rainbow Rooms with handmade quilts, backpacks and crocheted receiving blankets. The children we serve will definitely enjoy the blessings from these blankets.
Those of you out in Laredo looking for opportunities to benefit your community, here's the perfect chance! And if you know any high school student looking to acquire community service hours let them know about this. Their donation of cleaning items valuing $5 can get them 2 hours... The more they donate, the more hours they can accumulate.
With the month of April around the corner, we wanted to ignite an early spark in the Rio Grande Valley to join us in celebrating Child Abuse Prevention Month. Start collecting your blue attire for the week of April 1-5th. As we get closer to April, we will share different suggestions to help the brainstorming process. Join us in a never ending battle and "Go Blue!" Don't forget to share your pictures (tag us if you can).
Last week the Rainbow Rooms of the RGV received several donations in various forms. With the much needed supplies such as diapers, wipes, hygiene items, & undergarments, to monetary donations, we here at the Rainbow Room are grateful for the kindness of our communities in aiding the children we serve. A special thank you to Andrea Webber & Rochelle Cisneros of the McAllen Memorial Kicker Boosters (2022) and Pastor Michael Poindexter, Floyd Case, Carol Van Beek & Sue Johnson of Texas Trails Christian Fellowship for the donations to our Rainbow Rooms.
Last week the Rainbow Rooms of the RGV graciously accepted a donation of blue jeans from the Interact Club at PSJA Early College High School. The students in this community service group managed to collect a sum of 198 lightly worn jeans that will be distributed to the various Rainbow Rooms throughout Region 11. Thank you, Daniela Espinoza (president), Maria Cisneros (vice-president), Cynthia Villegas (sponsor) & Dr. Vela (principal) for your efforts in helping the Rainbow Rooms provide for families in the area.

It's time to say goodbye ❤️
Our JR board members did a wonderful job representing our Rainbow Rooma at the Mujures Unidas 30th Annual Candlelight Vigil. It was a special evening as we helped remember a dear friend to the Rainbow Rooms we lost to domestic violence.❤️
We believe this is a scam, do not click on their links.

***UPDATE*** Thank you Jessica Perez for donating a television! We have kiddos going there this afternoon and we are so happy they can be entertained by something other than the heat! ❤️ Good morning Facebook family. We are in need of a television for one of our locations where our foster kiddos stay until a more permanent placement is found. Because of a lack of cable utilities we are asking for a smart TV. If you have one you can donate we'd be ever so grateful! Thank you! ❤️
