The City of Peñitas reminds everyone about the Weedy Lots Ordinance (Sec. 20-1 - Weeds, brush, etc.). 🌿🚮

Our Code Enforcement team will be sending out letters to address current weedy lots. We truly appreciate your prompt response and cooperation as we join forces to keep our city clean and beautiful.

🔴Please ensure your property is free of weeds, rubbish, brush, and other unsightly or unsanitary items.

🔴 If not addressed within 10 days of receiving a written notice, the City will step in to clean up the property. Property owners will be charged a minimum fee of $150, with additional costs if the work takes more than an hour.

🔴 Failure to pay within 15 days will result in a $250 fee and a lien on the property and legal expenses.
