UT Health RGV Cancer and Surgery Center on track for 2025 launch Construction on the $145 million UT Health RGV Cancer and Surgery Center is on track for completion in the last quarter of 2024, with patient access starting in February 2025. The project, which is funded primarily by the University of Texas System, will provide expanded offerings in cancer care.

is profoundly saddened to learn of yet another attack against a social worker, most notably the recent attack in New York that has left 56-year-old Maria Coto on life support. Senseless violence against social workers must stop. We are supporters of the federal bill, the Protecting Social Workers and Health Professionals from Workplace Violence Act (2022). It would promote safer working conditions by establishing a $10 million grant program to implement workplace safety measures. We call on federal lawmakers to finally make this bill a reality.
