Dear St. Mark UMC family,
It is with mixed emotions that we announce the departure of our beloved Music Director, Glenda Bryson, who has been an integral part of our church family since she began working here in 2011. She has accepted a position in music and worship ministry at First UMC-McAllen. This coming Sunday, October 8, will mark her last day with us.
Glenda’s dedication, talent, and unwavering commitment to excellence have enriched our worship experience and touched the lives of countless individuals within our congregation, and from the bottom of my heart, I am profoundly grateful for her service and work. To honor and celebrate Glenda's remarkable contributions to our church, we will be holding a special farewell gathering immediately following the worship service this Sunday in the Narthex.
Additionally, if you would like to contribute to a farewell gift or card, please feel free to bring it with you on Sunday or drop it off at the church office during the week. We want to ensure that Glenda knows just how much she means to us and how deeply she will be missed. While we are sad to see her go, we are also excited for the new opportunities and adventures that lie ahead for Glenda. We are confident that her talent and dedication will continue to shine at First UMC-McAllen and beyond.
Finally, know that our Church Board, especially our SPRC members and alongside our Worship Team, will work diligently on interim and long-term possibilities for continued excellence in worship and music at St. Mark UMC.
Thank you for your continued support and love for our church community.
In Christ,
Rev. Joe Tognetti

A great message from our bishop calling us to humility & to acknowledge anonymous servants, for Christ himself came not to be served but to serve.

Welcome to church this morning.
Our bishop has walked over 5,000 miles!! No, not at once, or even in big chunks. But day by day, he kept walking. Listen to Bishop Schnase discuss how our walk with God is similar to his incremental & surprising 5,000 mile walk.
