All week long, I promised Roxane a husband and wife day.

In the foreground, you will see our breakfast of caramelized bananas over banana pancakes, and the far distance what we referred to as the Cat playground will transform into a pool table tonight.

The rule is if a cat jumps up on the pool table and moves the ball, plays where it stays

There is no cheating by delaying the shot hoping the cats will turn it around

As Roxane was a semi pro pool player way back in the days, I do have my work cut out for me

Something you folks need to understand. When we decided South Carolina for the new site of Misfit Acres, the First and only Pin in the map took us to this location. And By coincidence it was the perfect location.

For reasons we cannot explain (without our fans thinking we are totally nuts) this is the house, the home, and the facility that will make a huge impact on our mission.

Well folks with powers stronger at work than we can't explain, we are not dead in the water yet as we are in possible communication with the new future owners of this pin on the map.

Problem is we need to put on our big boy pants for this one as we do not yet know numbers.

If we were speaking double the numbers we are, and we could, we would gladly sell Misfit Acres and call it a blessing.

Roxane and I are all in as we double dog down on this miracle find.

Roxane and I have put in a bid on this property. It is perfect in every way as in an outdoor and indoor facility to further our mission.

We are all in on what is being called a Hail Mary as the response to his home is overwhelming.

We are hoping our prayers will be answered. Maybe you folks can put in a good word to the Big Boss for this one.

Did you know that South Carolina is one of the friendliest animals states there are. They are social with their animals, spend lots of money at the vet and all around just love their dogs.

Today, Saturday, August 3rd we have a food delivery common of 240 pounds of food, p**p wheelbarrow, needing dumping and haying, and a couple of small other. We are McCalla Alabama area off 459 exit one. If you can help, please send us a message. Thank you so much.

Well I was back in the hospital yesterday for further tests. Still don’t know much

All I know is I am down. We need help.

We need p**p shovelers, dog walkers wheelbarrow pushers, clothes pins to pinch the nose off, provided.

Anybody local enough not to have to travel too far would be awesome. Gentlemen, if you are available for some of the heavier work.

Well, it’s official. Boomer has become a permanent member of Misfit Shepherds.

I had the unfortunate experience of having to go to the emergency room yesterday for an issue. I am good now.

When I arrived home I went straight to bed. Boomer first barked at me in concern from the baby gate then didn’t leave my side.

We have always said that Boomer will be the one to choose his home and, as everyone else already knew and commented, he already has.

I’m all plum tuckered out of ideas!

Well, it’s over 95° here daily and nothing is going on either adoption or rescue wise.

We would love ideas on what you would like to see this coming Sunday. A specific dog, a specific activity, you tell us. And remember, it’s 95° so short activities outside only.

Our newest rescue, Duke, needed to see our vet, Dr. Jodi today, for a complete check up and shots.

Good news Duke is heartworm negative, Now has all of his shots, and is scheduled to be less nuts in three weeks



I mean, look at those years. This poor little guy found his way to somebody’s front porch just a couple of weeks back. He is coming to us in the next few days, but we have a problem. We don’t have a name for him. We would love to hear from you folks.
