We celebrated a member of our care staff this past week. Congratulations, Paola, on your upcoming wedding!

We celebrated Father's Day early with a nice BBQ and finished with ice cream cones!

We painted a lovely night sky, stars, trees and of course the American Flag, for our patriotic version of Sara's Painting with a Twist! We used three different sized paint brushes, and we didn’t rinse them out - not one time! We used a “dry brush” technique with one paint brush each. We also used a toothbrush! Then, we followed along step by step to the same painting, but each one came out different. They are all unique in their own way!

It’s always a pleasure to have David and Nancy in the community for a sing along. In honor of Memorial Day, we sang all patriotic songs!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful ladies out there! We enjoyed a nice Mother’s Day brunch! Our dining staff did an amazing job with all the delicious food.

We celebrated the Kentucky Derby today! We started the week off making derby hats! The ladies and gentlemen looked great! Since it is the 150th year of the Kentucky Derby, our Resident Engagement coordinator Sara hid 150 horseshoes around the building for a Derby Dash! The residents had a great time trying to find as many as they could!! First place found 79! We finished the day with Kentucky butter cake, tea sandwiches, deviled eggs, and mint juleps.

We are getting Kentucky Derby ready!!

We enjoyed planting flowers and making arrangements for the dining room.

Today we enjoyed music from The Black Bean Band! What a wonderful show! We had crowd participation, a husband singing to his wife, a few tears from songs that hit the heart... but mostly lots and lots of smiles and clapping!

Yesterday was National Banana Day! We made a banana poke cake, and it was scrumptious!
