A good day for these residents! Lori and Irene won the raffle prizes as each had a winning ticket! Charles won this American flag cap! Colorful paintings being created - even Ivory and Katie were in on the fun!

Beautiful melodies, beautiful voices made our day extra special! Thank you to the very thoughtful and very talented performers of Classical Chic! Your kindness is appreciated by all! We hope to see you back at Oxford very soon!

This month’s Oxford Roadshow with Juliet of Antique Company Mall in downtown McKinney treated us to beautiful and elegant vintage clothing, shoes, and handbags! Everything we needed for playing dress-up many years ago! Thank you, Juliet! We enjoyed reminiscing and we always enjoy the learning you provide!

One of our own Oxford family members took part in Music Appreciation time today! As David played piano, Ruth accompanied him with her guitar - making beautiful music and happy singers!

A great day for an outing to - where else - but the Funky Monkey Shaved Ice stand! Not only a tasty treat, but a fun one, too!

Great time during Music Therapy with Ivor! When we are together we laugh, we learn, we reminisce, we become happy musicians! Thank you, Ivor, for a special time today!

Two more beautiful puzzles by Wanda! Other residents seem to be inspired by her as they enjoy puzzling! Gorgeous paintings on display - we have a very talented group!

Getting our day off to a good start!

We had to go to Plan B today for our Friday Happy Hour - and we still had a great time! A little bit of singing and Knock-Knock jokes with Dorothea led to a lot of smiles and laughs!

There was a lot of fun and a lot of smiling going on! Another great day at our community!

We had a special treat in honor of Guinea Pig Appreciation Day! Bella brought Blossom and Blythe to visit with the residents! We were also treated to her presentation which she had to create in order to make her case to her parents as to why she should be allowed to have these cute critters! A very convincing argument - which worked! Thank you to Bella and Grandma Nancy for your time and thoughtfulness! Blossom and Blythe are welcome here anytime!

Our dear friend, Charlotte, brought her Watercolor Therapy class to our community and these residents were delighted! She created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere in which all became accomplished artists! Thank you, Charlotte! We had a marvelous time!

Wanda is one of the most skilled puzzle-builders of all time! Just give her a couple of days - less if the Rangers are not playing! Everybody enjoys her beautiful work!

A most uplifting and positive time with Fred Kienle as he presented his program - Health with an Attitude! Thank you, Fred! A very enjoyable and worthwhile presentation!

Gorgeous smiles were spreading around the community today!

We had a lovely time on our lunch outing! Thank you to the manager and staff at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen for taking such good care of us! Great food, great atmosphere, great friends!

Happiness is a four-legged word!!

We were very honored to have Betsy Ross visit our community! She shared lots of interesting historical information and she also shared her beautiful music! Word is - she is related to Laurie Gabriel! That explains why we loved having her with us!

A wonderful afternoon of great music with our great friend, Norris Perry! We always enjoy your song selections - you find those favorites that we we’d almost forgotten and love to hear! We enjoy the interesting stories that go along with each! Thank you, Norris!

A special day with special people! Mike and his family continued the 4th of July tradition of making and sharing his delicious homemade ice cream with residents and families! Angel made, and surprised us with, patriotic cake pops and chocolate chip cookies which delighted all! Nadia created a menu that is a work of art - will be difficult to clean the slate for sure! The Shoda family went with us to Walmart this morning always eager to help out! Smiles, laughs, and fun as we celebrate our nation together! Thank you all for your time and thoughtfulness in making today special!

We were proudly wearing our American pride today as Tommy Ray Williams celebrated our nation’s Independence Day with us - singing great songs about our great country! Thank you, Tommy! Great music and stories! Thank you, too, to Blanca for our patriotic treats! They were as tasty as they were beautiful!

This was a day to honor a special member of our Oxford Grand family - National Postal Worker Day! Thank you to Carolyn who always goes above and beyond in taking care of our community! We appreciate you so very much!

Our favorite poet, Ken Higginbotham, shared some of his original works with a most attentive audience! We thoroughly enjoyed each one! Thank you, Ken! We look forward to your next visit!

We are so thankful for these caring, thoughtful people who help out at our community several times each month! The Shoda family who are with us for our Walmart outings and also blessed us with beautiful, colorful flowers from their garden! David and Nancy who had residents and staff singing favorite hymns while learning about the history of each song! Corey who takes time to travel to get watermelons that he donates to our community- every year! Thank you all!! We are so blessed to have you all as part of our Oxford family!
