Join us this Sunday for Sunday school classes as we begin our new split schedule! We are testing out a new system where we alternate weekly between a group message and Sunday school classes. This gives our Sunday school teachers more opportunities for personalized messages for each specific group.

Here's a little Monday Motivation! We started having weekly church services for kids in 2012. We started in a warehouse with no A/C, and less than 10 kids. God has blessed this ministry! In November of 2021 we wrapped up construction on our 5,000 square foot youth center, complete with AC! 😆 Now we get to work with hundreds of kids throughout the year. The best part is that we're just getting started!

Save the date for Thanksgiving Blessing Boxes 2024! On Saturday, November 23rd we will pack and deliver over 300 Thanksgiving boxes to local families. Each box contains everything a family needs for a full Thanksgiving meal. You can sponsor a box or register to volunteer on our website:

This we're taking a trip down memory lane with a few pictures from Thanksgiving Blessing Boxes throughout the years. This year will be our 16th year of providing Thanksgiving meals to local families in need! What started in 2009, by packing 10 boxes in our living room has grown to over 300 boxes, and we need the rec. center just to accommodate all of the volunteers. This month's volunteers of the month are Anthony Cotton & Paloma Cotton They started serving at Citychurch in early 2023. They have an amazing family, and hearts for serving. They helped with our summer lunch program this summer. Anthony has performed multiple times for our youth group and Paloma hosted a girls self defense class for our teens! We are blessed to have them as volunteers.

August Student of the month is Mariah! She is such a sweet person. She was super helpful this summer with our summer lunch program. She has been attending Citychurch for 11 years with her brothers and sisters.

We had a wonderful Sunday morning service this week! Thank you to everyone who joined us.

It's a new school year, and that means our A's For J's program is back! Here's how it works: If a student maintains good behavior and gets all A's for two consecutive semesters we will buy them any pair of shoes they want! This is just one of the ways we help encourage students to value their education.

Special thanks to the McKinney Sunrise Rotary Club for allowing us to come share our story! We love what your organization does. They presented Mr. Justin with this awesome challenge coin. It really says a lot about who they are and what they're about.

We are proud to announce a special event being held THIS SATURDAY at Citychurch! Paloma Cotton is not only one of our awesome volunteers, she's also a black belt. Join her Saturday for a self-defense workshop and begin learning these valuable life skills. Self defense is so important for young ladies!

Shout out to our wonderful volunteers Kelsea Wood and Yndhira Pineda for helping us reach out to local kids and families at the Back To School Bash at Webb Elementary . It was awesome seeing all of the excitement about a new school year. From the fresh haircuts and school supplies, to all of the local nonprofits who showed up to engage with the kids. Citychurch will be closed this Sunday morning for service as we recuperate from all of the awesome things we got to do this summer! Have a good weekend and we will see you next week. God Bless!

Thursday was our last day of our Fill A Bag - Feed A Child summer lunch program for 2024. It was bittersweet delivering those lunches. Over the past 9 weeks we delivered 6,200 hot lunches to local children! All of this was made possible through the love of Jesus and support from amazing people like you. From the bottom of our heart we extend a sincere thank you for helping feed our kids!

This upcoming week is the final week of our Fill A Bag - Feed A Child summer feeding program for 2024! It has been such an amazing journey. Join us as we deliver the last 720 lunches. Monday - Thursday, 10am - 1pm. We want to say a special thanks to all of the amazing volunteers and donors who have helped feed the kids!

Another day, another 180 lunches delivered to local kids! Proud of our young volunteers for always stepping up and making this possible each day.

This Sunday was such a sweet day with our special guest speaker Saniya Myer ! We are so proud to have our graduates come back from college and try their hand at teaching. Thank you for that wonderful lesson about facing challenges with faith and resilience!

Next up in our summer guest speaker series is our very own Saniya Myer! She has been a part of the Citychurch family for over 10 years. We are so excited to have her home from college to speak to the kids. Join us this Sunday 11AM at Citychurch for breakfast and this special message.

You can help us finish out the summer strong as we feed local kids! Every Monday - Thursday we are delivering over 175 lunches. Each morning we pack the lunches with: Fresh fruit, Juice, a granola bar, fruit snacks, chips, cookies, a verse of the day and a hot item like pizza or chicken nuggets. Celebrating a decade of service for two of our amazing volunteers, Rick and Montel! They came to help serve 10 years ago, and we are blessed to still have them. Consistency is crucial for building relationships, and these two men have been there week in and week out for a long time. We are so thankful for them!

Special thanks to the children's ministry at Suncreek United Methodist Church for preparing 212 lunches for the Fill A Bag - Feed A Child summer lunch program at Citychurch! Teaching kids about service is so important. Keep up the great work!
