181 HYGIENE KITS!!! Can you believe it!? Our amazing residents donated enough items to make an impact on 181 lives! These kits and a few miscellaneous items will be donated to Streetside Showers, a wonderful organization that helps those in need!

Veterans, we thank you for your service! While supplies last we have a free Wagyu Sirloin for you, Saturday November 11.

Last night, one of our own was honored at the Veteran's Day celebration hosted by Allen Public Library. Anna Janis, a 100 year old Navy Wave (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) was interviewed on stage by Tom Keener after being introduced by Allen's Mayor, Baine Brooks.

To say that Anna was the star of the show is an understatement! She was able to share her memories of serving at Pearl Harbor under Admiral Nimitz. She shared that he was good to work for and that he was a lovely man.

When asked what she would say to the young people in the audience, she shared this: Carry the torch for our country. Many people have died for our freedoms. We have a great country and we should protect her.

Anna was a little overwhelmed at all of the attention but we loved seeing her being treated like a rockstar. People were asking for her autographs after the event. She is, after all, one of the last of the Greatest Generation. We are losing more of them with every day that passes. If you are lucky to have one of them in your life, be sure that you spend time with them and soak up all of their life knowledge and memories!

Thank you to the Allen Community Jazz Band for playing some great music for all of us! The citizens of Allen are very lucky to have such an amazing and talented group of musicians put on concerts throughout the year.

It’s a great day to have a flu vaccine clinic and celebrate a resident’s birthday! Tootsie Roll Pops always included! Thank you Allen Pharmacy & Wellness for always taking such great care of our residents! Empty chairs shown to protect resident’s’ privacy!

We had the distinct honor today of celebrating Anna's upcoming 100th birthday! Anna was a Navy WAVE at Pearl Harbor under Admiral Nimitz after the attack. She has lived a long and adventurous life! She is scheduled to go on an Honor Flight later in September. She is just that cool!

The VFW Post 2195 from Allen came to present the colors for her and lead the residents in honoring the American flag which represents Anna's love for her country. We are thankful for their service and their commitment to honoring other veterans.

Anna and Senator Angela Paxton have been friends for several years. Senator Paxton came to join us in celebrating Anna and announced to us that she has arranged for an American flag to be flown over the Texas Capitol on her actual birthday. We will make sure that Anna gets that flag!

Anna spent two hours holding court with all of her Artistry friends who were so excited to see her! She could not believe that everyone came to see her!

It was a very good, absolutely incredible, super awesome day!

Artistry at Craig Ranch had another successful backpack and school supply drive for Dallas Police Department. We donated 24 backpacks and a ton of school supplies! We have the best residents!
