Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper will assist the Accounting Manager, Construction Coordinator and Property Manager with daily duties for commercial property accounting, construction accounting and daily responsibilities. Day to day responsibilities include property accounting review, running property reports and assisting with enhancing client relations, tenant relations and customer service.
Construction and Property Management Accounting - QuickBooks & Excel
· Accounting, reporting and budgeting tasks for construction and management projects
· Verifying tenant, contractors and building insurance for all projects
Responsibilities:
Construction Accounting
· Prepares, examines, and analyzes project cost accounting records/reports
· Performs any necessary cost transfers to accurately record job cost activity
· Performs account reconciliation monthly
· Creates and maintains vendor accounts and financial spreadsheets
· Assist Project Coordinator in preparing owner billing
· Assist Project Coordinator in compiling all required back-up documentation
· Processing of pay applications timely to provide initial review for accuracy of billings
· Monitors status of owner payment for compliance with contract terms
· Assists with month-end and annual reconciliation
· Assists in preparation of project-specific audits
· Assists the Project Manager in closing projects and contracts once project is complete
· Conducts final review of all project financials to ensure they are ready to close
· Keeps record of all project finances for internal/external auditing and tax purposes
· Prepares cost analyses by interpreting project financial data and information
· Reports any financial risks and budgetary discrepancies to project management
Property Management
· Assist the Property Manager with the annual operating/capital budgets
· Code and review same to ensure accurate coding of invoices and payment
· Follow established AR guidelines including contacting tenants regarding rent payments
· Work Property Manager to facilitate accounting payables and receivables
· Assist in preparation Annual CAM Reconciliations and enter into Quickbooks

It was a great start to the morning today with our patio slab pour at the new Sugarbacon Allen location! Guys did a great job from start to finish! Getting closer to the finish line on this one!
