Reminiscing as I freeze in the office! 18 years ago we opened VMA in the month of January! So this is our 18 year anniversary! 🥶

VMA family please be careful traveling today as anything that melts will refreeze. I know the roads aren’t that bad? But please drive with caution!

Super special day! My first born and only Daughter achieved her 3rd degree black belt today in TKD! And my very first Wing Chun student achieved her black sash in Wing Chun Kung Fu on top of earning her long awaited 2nd degree black belt in TKD! Words cannot express how proud I am of the two of them! Without Lexie I wouldn’t be the man I am today! Without Emmy I don’t think I’d be the Wing Chun practitioner I am today as she was a pivotal part of my journey to Mastership. As the saying goes! It’s hard to find a good instructor and even harder to find a good student! I am blessed to have these two! Miss Lexie “Master Vu’s LiL Ninja! I am proud of you!” “Miss Emmy Master Vu’s caffeinated Kunoichi! I am proud of you!” 🫶🏻

What are the chances? I’ve had story telling time with some of the students this past week about how I used to do board breaking demonstrations. And how I used to break boards with my head! Well! An awesome old student of mine emailed me this photo from somewhere around 2002,2003! That me putting my forehead through a 1 inch think piece of white pine! 12x12 inch board!
