Raku candles & melts are back in stock! These are an artisinal blend of white birch & fireside oils. It is an earthy, woodsy, pine, with a hint of smoke scent. Everyone is hand poured and dyed by Stone Arch Candle Co. making each one completely unique in its look just like the raku pots we make. Raku is an exclusive scent for Hometown Potters' Studio llc

Here’s a close up of the exclusive that will debut tonight! Raku is earthy, piney, and woodsy with just a hint of smoke that will make you feel as if you’re there at one Hometown Potters’ raku firings.

Hometown Potters' Studio llc has been a big supporter of ours since we started in 2018, so it obvious that when we decided to do an exclusive scent for them that we wanted to mirror some of their raku pieces in both scent and presentation. Due to the technique used to to achieve this look, no two candles will be alike in presentation! Each will have its own unique look even if it comes from the same batch.

The new candle exclusive to Hometown Potters Studio is: Raku - an artisinal blend of White Birch and Fireside oils. It is earthy, woodsy, and pine, with a hint of smoke. This particular scent is the perfect compliment to your holiday & winter decor. It provides an atmosphere of warm cozy cabin with Christmas evergreen accent. We will have a few available tonight during the Last Minute Shopping Night.
The raku name is derived from one of our firing processes. During a raku firing, pots are take straight from the kiln at peak temperature of about 1850° and placed in a metal container filled with combustible materials. This often consists of hardwood sawdust, dried ornamental grasses, clippings of dried pine branches, coffee bean chaff, and shredded paper. The smoke from these fires has a mirade of scents depending on the materials burning. Kyle & Nicole have done a wonderful job of replicating this in a unique candle you can enjoy anytime.

Two firsts today! First time set up at Hartslog Day Heritage Festival and our first time using our beautiful new display from Makers Den!

If you’re out for First Friday tomorrow, make sure you stop to see Hometown Potters' Studio llc and us outside of East End Coffee Co for our collaboration project as well as all your candle and pottery needs!

For our Goose Day in the Juniata River Valley candle this year, we combined our love for Goose Day with our love for creme brûlée from Shy Bear Brewing! Not only are they one of our favorite places to grab a drink and a bite to eat but they also make some killer variations of creme brûlée, if you haven’t had one, then you are missing out!

We will have a limited quantity of all sizes available at Makers Market this Saturday 8/28 and the following Friday night outside East End Coffee Co along with Hometown Potters' Studio llc for First Friday on 9/3!

Just delivered large and medium jars of One More Chapter to The Crooked Shelf Bookshop, LLC! These went pretty fast the last time we made a batch, so get them now before they run out!

A big “thank you” to everyone who came out to see us today at Makers Market! We had a blast!

We noticed it was awful buggy last weekend when we were making some s’mores, so we decided to make some additions to our lineup! Stop by at Makers Market on Saturday to get yours!
