Join us for the Wrights Pond Regatta, also known as the Cardboard Boat Race! This fun-filled event is perfect for everyone, from kids to adults. There are so many ways to get involved—whether you want to build your own cardboard boat, cheer on the racers, or simply enjoy some fantastic music, lawn games, and tasty treats. It’s sure to be a wonderful day for the whole family! All fees will support the Friends of Medford Recreation.

As all of you know, the Street Hockey Rink was resurfaced a few months ago. Well, some more exciting news... The surface paint was completed today! The rink is temporarily closed to allow the surface paint to dry. We look forward to seeing our community utilize this space for fun, recreational activities!

This project was made possible by Community Preservation Act and American Rescue Plan Act funding, thank you to Preserve Medford for your support!

Due to a bacterial exceedance, there is NO SWIMMING at Wright's Pond on Thursday, August 22. The pond will be retested, and we will keep everyone updated about when swimming is reopened.

Pirate Day and Movie Night

Captain Jack made an appearance leading the group on a walk, taught sword defense, navigated their way to find buried treasure, played games, and stories were told. Thank you to Getcaptainjack.com for a wonderful job with the kids and helping make our event successful.

We had tables set up to get hats and eye patches, tattoos, stickers, balloon swords, and popcorn. We also had some lawn games and chalk set up. Thank you to Colleen's of Medford Square for providing ice cream.

We also want to thank our staff for doing a wonderful job and all their hard work! What a fabulous night!
