Hi guys!
We just wanted to make a quick post to thank everyone who has been supporting us - 2022 was a fantastic year for Willow Run! We expanded our apiary, added new products and sizes, and had the honor to be apart of many baby and bridal showers! We have so much in store for 2023, and just wanted to say THANK YOU for supporting small business, and supporting local beekeeping. Here are a few photos of some of the events and orders we put together in 2022! See you in Spring!
Honey not only is delicious, but extremely medicinal π― With cold / flu season, you can make your own immunity boost using raw local honey, lemons, ginger and turmeric! Add all to a mason jar, shake and release the gas build up each day for a week and store in a warm place you see daily! After a week of that, store in the fridge for a week or two ( a month max )and then take out all the lemons, ginger and turmeric and use in teas while using the honey daily by the spoon, or in tea π΅ π

Had the absolute pleasure to spend time this morning with Earthology Unbound - a local summer camp that teaches young kids about nature, mother earth and today... BEES! π Thank you for allowing willow run to share what we love!!!!! πβ¨
Brooke Kaylor-Wilson at Willow Run Apiary joined us today to teach us all about honey bees! She shared her delicious local honey and answered all of our questions! οΏΌ
We learned about the importance of pollinators and what we can do to help. Look out parents! A few of the kiddos have landscape plans and drawings that they came up with on how to increase pollinator friendly areas in your very own yards! π¦πππ¦π»πΎπ

People often ask us about honey crystalizing - here is a great article on why honey crystalizes!
Most true, raw, honeys will crystalize given the right temperature, the type of honey and what the bees foraged on and even pollen count!
All normal, and all GOOD things!
Eat the honey cold or if you rather make it more liquid just warm it up! βΊοΈ
