Last week, we celebrated the half-way mark in construction for the new Methodist University Emergency Department! It will be two stories, with a heliport on the roof. The project will add 93,000 square feet of new space and bring our total to 54 patient treatment areas, so we can give you the best care.

Memphis assistant donates kidney to sister Memphis assistant coach Robert Kirby, who lost his mother 17 years ago due to complications from kidney failure and lupus, donated a kidney to his sister this week and hopes to be back at practice in the next few weeks.

"He didn’t give up on me," says Ernestine Jones about her cardiologist, Dr. Rajesh Kabra. Dr. Kabra was able to perform an uncommon surgical procedure to treat her severe cardiac issue.

Starting Monday, July 7, METHODIST UNIVERSITY MAIN ENTRANCE will be relocated. The entrance will be off Bellevue Ave for pedestrians and cars dropping off passengers. EMERGENCY ROOM ENTRY will not change (Eastmoreland Ave). Thank you for your patience while we construct a new Emergency Department building!
