Meet our incredible donors who prove that generosity is a powerful force! Every contribution, big or small, creates ripples of hope and change.

“If we can do one small thing to make someone’s day better, we are going to do it,”said St. Peter Catholic Church parishioner, Becky, “It’s the most fulfilling thing in my life.”

To all our amazing donors, thank you for being the heroes behind the scenes.

Liberty & Justice for all! 🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from your Catholic Charities of West Tennessee family and friends ❤️🤍💙

07/02/2024

As Catholic Charities continues the work of helping the poor and vulnerable across West Tennessee, we were excited to give assistance to three great ministries whose work aligns with our mission and helps us stretch the hands and feet of Christ in our diocese:

❤️Project Outreach- Dedicated to enhancing the quality of live for the underserved in Fayette Co.

❤️Sister Elizabeth Seton Fund- providing lunches to students in need at SBA

❤️Cam Food Pantry – Providing food to needy families in Hardin County.

This support was made possible through community partnerships and all of these ministries were vetted and endorsed by a diocesan pastor. 🙏🏼

The Catholic Church of the Resurrection’s Young Adult Ministry has been hard at work collecting items for 1,000 hygiene kits! These kits are distributed weekly to our brothers and sisters in need. ❤️

Thanks to the combined efforts of the Young Adult Ministry, Youth N Christ Ministry, and Ladies Auxiliary Ministry, they have already completed half of the kits! The remaining kits will be ready and delivered in July.

We also want to highlight the incredible dedication of the Young Adult Ministry. They continue to support our life changing mission by donating items, food, and their time to support our community.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this wonderful cause. Your generosity is making a real difference! 🙏✨

Today, we were truly blessed 🙏 to host the incredible students and staff from Christian Brothers University's McLaughlin Social Justice Institute. Their visit to our campus was a powerful reminder of the profound impact we can have when we come together to serve those in need.

Kiki Hall, our Interim Executive Director, and Fr. John, O.P., CCWTN Chaplain Resident, delivered an inspiring presentation on Catholic social teaching and the importance of serving those in need.💫 Their words resonated deeply with everyone present, reinforcing our shared commitment to compassion and justice.

But the day didn't end there. The students and staff rolled up their sleeves and joined us in our mobile food pantry, clothing closet, and in assembling food boxes for families in need. 💛 Their energy, dedication, and heartfelt service were nothing short of uplifting.

“This is what God asks of you, only this… To act justly, to love tenderly, and to walk humbly with you God.” -Micah 6:8

Thank you to the Ladies Italian American Civic League for their generous donation of snacks for our daily meal bags! “It’s Catholic Charities; we wanted to jump in and find a way to contribute,” said Angie Lenti Williams, President of the Ladies Italian American Civic League. While their meeting times didn't align with our sandwich ministry, yet they still found a meaningful way to help! These ladies are preserving Italian traditions while supporting our community and doing it with grace. 🇮🇹 ❤️

Anderson Griffith, a rising 8th grader at OLPH, has chosen Catholic Charities of West Tennessee as his charity of choice to donate nearly $1,400. This impressive amount was raised by Anderson and his fellow students. Anderson's fundraising initiative was a result of his mother winning a fundraising day at the school auction. Anderson decided to have a pajama day at school, where students donated money to participate!

When asked why he chose Catholic Charities, Anderson said, 'I chose Catholic Charities because I know they do a lot of good and I knew the money could also help a lot of people.'"

Today, Anderson visited our campus and got a VIP tour to learn about all the ways this generous donation will help those in need within our community!

Catholic Charities welcomed an amazing group of kids from Porter-Leath who volunteered at our mobile food pantry! 🧡

Porter-Leath is a great organization in Memphis dedicated to supporting children and families through various programs such as early childhood education, behavioral health services, foster care and adoption, and family support. Their mission aligns perfectly with our values at CCWTN, as we both strive to uplift and support our community.

These young volunteers exemplified the spirit of service and compassion, and we are incredibly grateful for their hard work and dedication. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those in need. Thank you, Porter-Leath, for your commitment to making our community a better place!⭐️

We are incredibly impressed and grateful for Reagan Gillen, a rising senior at St. Benedict at Auburndale, who made a heartfelt donation to our organization. Reagan organized a drive for feminine hygiene products, involving both SBA students and parishioners of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. This project was entirely her own idea and effort!

Reflecting on her inspiration, she shared, “My freshman year, I had to do a research paper and I found a book about Period Poverty. I noticed that there is a need and I wanted to address it and help where I could.”

Understanding the importance of these essential items, she chose CCWTN for her donation, saying, “I thought Catholic Charities was the best choice to donate to get these items to the people in need.”

Thank you, Reagan, for your compassion and dedication to making a difference in your community! ⭐️ Feel free to reach out or visit www.ccwtn.org to learn more about the ways you can support our life changing mission!
