Our Story

Located in the Cooper-Young Historic District, Celtic Crossing Irish Pub & Restaurant serves up a variety of pints and Irish fare inspired by my traditional, Irish family recipes for Saturday and Sunday brunch and lunch and dinner seven days a week. Celtic celebrates the spirit of the traditional Irish pub in an easy and relaxed environment for all to enjoy. From rare Irish whiskeys and corned beef sliders to St. Patrick’s Day celebrations and monthly Irish seisiuns, the Naylor family has made Celtic a place that has something for everyone wanting a little taste of what life is like across the pond.

After more than 14 years in business, the pub is still having record-setting years. In November 2019, Celtic set its all-time food sales record, proving that the pub is a Midtown mainstay. Moreover, Celtic has been recognized for Best Outdoor Dining by Memphis Magazine; named one of the Best Brunches in Memphis by Thrillist; made the list of Men’s Journal’s Most Innovative French Fries in America for the Irish Nachos, and was a Memphis Business Journal Small Business Awards finalist in 2017.

Whether it’s polling patrons on if they would prefer Celtic to go smoke-free or opening in the wee hours of the morning to show a big soccer or rugby match, the Naylors are constantly going above and beyond to ensure pub goers are happy. Leadership expanded the brunch to Saturday, extensively renovated the interior, transitioned to smoke-free, began opening early for every EPL soccer match, introduced new menu items, expanded whiskey offerings, unveiled seasonal wines and launched a wildly successful monthly whiskey tasting that he leads, all in the name of customer satisfaction.

Of all the things Celtic has achieved, there is nothing more important than its philanthropic efforts. Since Celtic opened in 2005, the Naylor family has been a driving force in the charity world, helping raise funds for a variety of organizations.
