For those of you missing our Thai red curry sauce, tonight we are featuring it with macadamia nut crusted barramundi with jasmine rice.
It’s hot enough outside, so we’ve got some chilled items on our Chef’s Specials menu to cool down your core temperature. First off, the Asian nachos are back by popular demand. They’re cold, but they’ll bring a sweat to your brow, which will cool you down. We also have a pickled shrimp and watermelon salad with basil aioli and a watermelon-mint gastrique. This dish just screams Summer in the South. It’s totally chill. And you will be too after eating it. On the entree side we’ve got a roasted salmon on heirloom tomato salad (hand selected by yours truly at the Agricenter Farmers Market just this morning) with smoked salt, pecorino cheese and a Thai basil vinaigrette.
Speaking of cool, we also have a brand new 5 ton air conditioner unit piping cold air into our dining rooms. Come on in and see for yourself.

So…. I’ve been cheffing for what seems like all my life now and there are a few people who have motivated, taught, and inspired me along the way. Then there’s Marisa Baggett. No but seriously, a big element of how I think about food was gleaned from this young lady. Today I’m proud to announce a collaborative dinner with vegetables being the stars and love for the craft evident in every dish. At , May 29th. Two seatings, 5pm and 8pm. 60 dollars plus fees. Tip not included. Your server would love to earn that the night of! You know I’m not dropping the menu until the night of, but I promise you the only missed steak would be missing this!

A whole new set of small plates for the weekend! Trout amandine doesn’t happen often at Tsunami, so get it while you can.
Feeling a little nostalgic for San Francisco this week and the years I spent there. Maybe it’s the current weather, I don’t know. Anyway, I decided to recreate an iconic San Francisco dish: cioppino. This hearty tomato and fennel based stew is chock full of seafood: grouper, sea bass, tuna, shrimp, calamari, mussels, all cooked to order and garnished with sourdough garlic crostini. Just the thing for a cool, rainy, foggy night.
