Ignite Tennis Academy

Premiere tennis instruction. Offering group and private lessons in Burlingame and Menlo Park

09/21/2021

My name is Isaiah Pekary and I am the owner of Ignite Tennis Academy. We are currently looking for a head coach to run our programs. We are a year round academy that primarily teaches after school classes to beginners in Burlingame, CA. Here are some of the best parts of working for our academy.

Flexibility: We set up our classes to fit your schedule. While we do need our coaches to commit to the same schedule for a season, before the season starts we can make sure you have the days off that you need.

Environment: If you love to focus on coaching without having to worry about sales, or meeting certain quotas, we provide the best environment possible. While our coaching standards are high, we mostly are working with recreational players, so there is rarely any drama with parents or pressure for you to be creating professional tennis players. We provide all of the equipment, and training you would need to run effective, dynamic and fun classes.

Class size:
The maximum number of students you would have in a class is 4 for kids and 5 for adults. As coaches we are passionate about seeing our students excel. Our low coach/student ratio empowers you to give personal attention to each student and give the feedback that can help take their game to the next level.

Rewarding:
Our focus in our kids classes is that our students would grow in character more than their tennis ability. If you are someone who shares this same passion, then this is the right place for you.

Opportunity for growth:
The current coaching role could very quickly become a director role if you show the qualities necessary for that role.

Schedule:

Students are all ages and abilities, but the majority are beginners.

During the school year our lessons are typically 3:30-8:30 M-F and 9-5 Saturday and Sunday. Just let us know the hours you want to work within this time frame.

If you have experience teaching pickleball we are also looking for a pickleball instructor for the mornings.

Coaches must be able to do an in person demo lesson as part of the interview process, so local applicants only.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School playing experience required. College level tennis experience preferred.

Must be able to play at the 4.0 level.

Compensation:

$45-$55/hr based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements (Coaches):

Must enjoy working with kids and manage a class in a professional manner.

Must be flexible, reliable, punctual, professional and has an enthusiastic approach.

Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.

Must carry a resilient, positive attitude.
