We're hiring a Preschool Teacher/Parent Educator for Fall 2024.
The Menlo-Atherton Cooperative Nursery School (maco-op.org) is a wonderful play-based preschool located in Nealon Park. The school is currently seeking a teacher for its M-W-F preschool class for 3- and 4-year-old children. Preschool/Parent Education Teacher:
Menlo-Atherton Cooperative Nursery School is seeking a Teacher/Parent Educator for the fall of 2024. Our school fosters a play-based environment relying on the premise that if children have the opportunity for social interaction and to develop self-confidence, they will be able to think for themselves, make their own decisions, and work out solutions to their own problems.

Parent participation is a key component of the program, helping to create the ideal environment in which children’s feelings of self-esteem and self-worth can flourish. With the aid of the school’s professional teachers, co-op parents contribute to a loving, caring community of adults and children.

Job description:
• Teach 3 to 4-year-olds in an inclusive, child-centered, indoor/outdoor classroom from 9:00-11:30 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, beginning in the fall of 2024
• Guide and support the classroom parents
• Teach parent education classes one night per month that align with the school’s philosophy
• Menlo-Atherton Co-Op compensation is among the highest in the field

Qualifications:
• Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Parent education experience
• Preschool teaching experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
