Each year, our Signature Class selects four to six Community Impact Projects as an opportunity to lead in our community. Each selected project will receive six to eight leaders from the 2025 Signature class who will work together to complete a project to benefit your organization and the greater community.
Must require leadership, not just labor
โขFundraising is not the primary goal. Fundraising may not exceed $2,000 for materials to complete the project
โขMust fill an organizational need with direct, visible impact to the Lake County community
โขThere is a measurable outcome
โขThe project must be sustainable beyond LLC's involvement
โขFinal projects are adopted at the Class retreat in September. You will be notified of your status by August 12th. If you are a finalist project, you must attend a meeting with your project group on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 8:45am-11:15am at Punderson Manor. Failure to attend will dismiss the project from consideration. Please save this date on your calendar.

Whatโs the ROI on the program? Check-out these top 10 lessons learned by our Community Builders Class this past year:
1. Opened my eyes to how we can positively impact our community
2. Difference between getting too involved and getting on the balcony to get a different perspective of the situation
3. Faction mappingโWho needs to be part of the solution?
4. Being a thermostat vs. thermometer
5. Donโt be afraid to use a colleague or mentor to script hard conversations.
6. Our differences bring uniqueness which is powerful and beautiful and allows us to bring our authentic selves. We are all invited and can dance at the party (reference: Verna Myers)
7. Intent does not equal impact
8. The listener controls the conversation
9. Understand your strengths, vulnerabilities, and triggers to allow yourself to have control over them and to be intentional
10. Empower others by engaging all voices to reach a common goal
People often ask, "What's the impact of Leadership Lake County?" It's a profound experience that's difficult to quantify, but here are our metrics that highlight the programโs true impact.
While the numbers are impressive, the real impact is seen in the transformed lives and thriving communities driven by our dedicated leaders.
