After 20 years at our location and serving thousands of youth, families and community organizations, we have been presented with a bitter-sweet opportunity to move due to High Speed Rail (HSR) and the MITC Project.

Our Board of Directors remain steadfast to our mission and is committed to ensuring the Boys and Girls Club of Merced County will continue to exist to serve our youth and families for decades to come.

Rooting for our junior chef from Gustine Unified School District in the national Dole Sunshine for All Cities kids cooking competition in Westlake, CA. Winner will win $1,000 of US Savings Bond and their very own cooking appliances from GE Appliances, Lodge Cast Iron and seasonings from Black Girls Cook.

We are so proud of our youth volunteers who chose to spend their summer making a difference in the community.

Together with Bank of America, we are excited to kick off our Summer Youth Internship Program, which includes a mock interview and financial management workshop, as part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Learn and Earn Workreadiness Program. This program will offer 15 young people age 14-18 the chance to earn up to $1,000 and gain important work experience to help them succeed in their future careers.

Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14, 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress.

Thank you for sharing with us the importance of this special day Assemblymember Esmeralda Soria, Josh Pedrozo Merced County Supervisor and Merced Golden Lions Club for coordinating this event every year.

Always fun to celebrate Flag Day at the Boys and Girls Club to remind the youth of the importance of the American Flag, and all it represents.

Our summer camp program is now available at five additional locations: Planada Elementary School, Peterson, Rivera, Sheehy, and Stowell.

Chef Mitchell Vanagten assisted with the launch of our Kids in the Kitchen Culinary Program and was recognized as Chef of the Year by the American Culinary Federation Monterey Chapter for his outstanding contribution to Culinary and community.
