Sister Suzanne and Hospice Director PetaRose met Steven Garner today at the Statewide Hospice & Palliative Care Summit by Connecticut Association for Healthcare at Home. Mr. Garner started a hospice program, as a prisoner, in Angola which he helped fund by his quilting, which he continues to this day.

30 years a nurse and more than 10 as a leader in the field, PetaRose endorses the hospice philosophy that no one should die alone, in pain or discomfort. Hospice serves the dying patient and family and friends who are living in anticipation of the loss of their loved one. PetaRose believes transitioning from this world is one of the most important moments in a person’s life.

Sister Suzanne Gross and Sister Catherine Mary Clarke were on hand to express our appreciation to the Wallingford Foundation and the Wallingford Rotary Club for their generous grant award that will assist us in helping members of the Wallingford community in our new Social Isolation & Loneliness Outreach (SILO) Program.
