It is said the Dalai Lama recites this prayer in the morning. Just reading this brings me peace. How do you feel after you read these words … and how would you feel if you lived them?!
Bodhisattva Prayer for Humanity
"May I be a guard for those who need protection
A guide for those on the path
A boat, a raft, a bridge for those who wish to cross the flood
May I be a lamp in the darkness
A resting place for the weary
A healing medicine for all who are sick
A vase of plenty, a tree of miracles
And for the boundless multitudes of living beings
May I bring sustenance and awakening
Enduring like the earth and sky
Until all beings are freed from sorrow
And all are awakened."
Been the villain many time, oh well. I still sleep pretty good at night. And so it goes …..
Let them paint you as the villain in their story.
Let them tell people that you were too much.
Let them tell people that it was all your fault.
Let them tell whatever evil, deceptive lies they want.
Let them manipulate the people they say they love into believing their false story...
Because the truth is; it doesn’t matter how it ended, it’s ended.
And what they choose to think about you isn’t a battle that you need to worry about fighting anymore.
All of those moments that you went out of your way, made plans to surprise them, poured your heart and soul into loving them, and trying to convince them of your worth and how you felt;
you get to wipe your hands of all of that now.
You KNOW your truth, and the truth ALWAYS comes out.
If someone’s lying about you, lying about the way things were, or if someone's twisting the truth to make things look a certain way because they know the truth will make them look bad;
Remembet that the people who matter in your life will KNOW the truth, and that’s what really matters!
And even if for whatever reason it doesn’t; the people in your life who really matter know the truth anyway
Thank you for this fun information. One very important plant and such great readily-available medicine.
“The dandelion is the only flower that represents the three celestial bodies of the sun, moon, and stars: The yellow flower resembles the sun, the puff ball resembles the moons, and the dispersing seeds resemble the stars.
The dandelion flower opens to greet the morning and closes in the evening to go to sleep.
Every part of the dandelion is useful: root, leaves, flower. It can be used for food, medicine, and dye for colouring.
Up until the 1800s, people would pull grass out of their lawns to make room for dandelions and other useful “weeds” like chickweed, malva and chamomile.
The name dandelion is taken from the French word “dent de lion” meaning lion’s tooth, referring to the coarsely-toothed leaves. 🦁
Dandelions have one of the longest flowering seasons of any plant.
Dandelion seeds are often transported away by a gust of wind and they travel like tiny parachutes. Seeds are often carried as many as five miles from their origin!
Birds, insects, and butterflies consume nectar or seeds of dandelion.
Honey from bees pollinating dandelions is quite delicious. 🐦 🐛 🐜 🦋 🐝.
Dandelion flowers do not need to be pollinated to form seeds.
Root of dandelion can be used as a substitute for coffee.
Dandelion is used in folk medicine to treat infections and liver disorders. Tea made of dandelion act as a diuretic.
If you know dandelions, they’ll grow shorter stalks to spite you.
Dandelions are, quite possibly, the most successful plants that exist. They are masters of survival worldwide."

Sharing … it’s the fabric of our society.
There was a farmer who grew excellent quality corn. Every year he won the award for the best grown corn. One year a newspaper reporter interviewed him and learned something interesting about how he grew it. The reporter discovered that the farmer shared his seed corn with his neighbors. “How can you afford to share your best seed corn with your neighbors when they are entering corn in competition with yours each year?” the reporter asked.
“Why sir,” said the farmer, “Didn’t you know? The wind picks up pollen from the ripening corn and swirls it from field to field. If my neighbors grow inferior corn, cross-pollination will steadily degrade the quality of my corn.
If I am to grow good corn, I must help my neighbors grow good corn.”
So is with our lives... Those who want to live meaningfully and well must help enrich the lives of others, for the value of a life is measured by the lives it touches.
And those who choose to be happy must help others find happiness, for the welfare of each is bound up with the welfare of all...
Everything is temporary. Enjoy THIS moment.
"The place that you presently find yourself in, you are not destined to remain in forever. For life passes by as quickly as sand passes through an hourglass, and you are merely passing through. But no matter where you find yourself, there is beauty to be found, and you may choose to make the best of your surroundings, trusting that on the path ahead, you will gain the wisdom and experience that you need to, before traveling to more beautiful places that lie beyond.
Always remember,
that your circumstances never define you,
but are simply a part of the path,
bringing you closer to where you wish to go.”
I read this and images came to my mind. We played kick the can for hours and when those street lights came on we all scattered. And I smiled! I loved my childhood and hate the part of technology that replaced kick the can et al.
Your clothes came from Kmart and they stayed on layaway until school started. Eating out at a restaurant was a thing every now & then!! Fast food was leftovers at home. Eating popsicles was a treat on a hot day. We had fake cigs for candy and you only needed $1 or less. School was mandatory. You took your school clothes off as soon as you got home and put on your play clothes. If no one was home after school, you went to the neighbors. Nobody paid for daycare because we had a key to the house to get in when we got home.
We ate dinner at the table. Our house phone wasn't always being used. We played 1-2-3 Not It, Red Light Green Light, Hide & Seek, Truth or Dare, Tag, Kickball, Dodgeball & we rode bikes. Girls and Boys played in the street. We came home when the street lights came on.
Staying in the house was a punishment and the only thing we knew about being "bored", "You better find something to do before I find it for you!" We ate what Mom made for dinner or we ate nothing at all. There was no bottled water; we drank from the tap or the water hose!
Phone numbers and addresses were either memorized or written on a folded piece of paper which was kept with you at all times!
What were Cell phones? We watched cartoons on Saturday mornings and rode our bikes for hours. We ran around in the streets until dark and came in before the street lights came on.
We were AFRAID OF NOTHING.
We watched our mouths around our Elders. If we acted up we got beat with a wooden paddle, switch or belt!
These were the good old days.
Kids today will never know how it feels to be a real kid, they will never understand my childhood.
Happy Friday! Make it a great weekend. If you haven’t read these words before now, this might help you have a better weekend. Enjoy!
Poignant last words of Steve Jobs, billionaire, dead at 56:
"I have reached the pinnacle of success in business." In other people's eyes my life is a success.
However, aside from work, I’ve had little joy.
At the end of the day, wealth is just a fact I’ve gotten used to.
Right now, lying on my hospital bed, reminiscing all my life, I realize that all the recognition and wealth I took so much pride in, has faded and become meaningless in the face of imminent death.
You can hire someone to drive your car or make money for you, but you can't hire someone to stand sick and die for you.
Material things lost can be found again. But there is one thing that can never be found when it is lost: Life.
Whatever stage of life we are currently at, in time we will face the day the curtain closes.
Love your family, spouse, children and friends... Treat them right .
Cherish them.
As we get older, and wiser, we slowly realize that wearing a $300 or $30 watch both give the same time
Whether we have a $300 or $30 wallet or purse, the amount inside is the same.
Whether we drive a $150,000 car or a $30,000 car, the road and the distance are the same, and we reach the same destination.
Whether we drink a $1000 or $10 bottle of wine, the hangover is the same.
Whether the house in which we live is 100 or 1000 square meters, loneliness is the same.
You will realize that your true inner happiness does not come from material things of this world.
Whether you travel first class or economy class, if the plane crashes, you go down with it...
Therefore, I hope you realize, when you have friends, brothers and sisters, with whom you discuss, laugh, talk, sing, talk about north-south-east or heaven and earth,... this is the real happiness!!
An indisputable fact of life:
Don't raise your children to be rich.
Educate them to be happy.
When they grow up, they will know the value of things and not the price. "
Happy Tuesday!!
