Day 2 of our first driving trip. Day 1 Antelope canyon was cancelled due to heavy rains in the slot of the canyon. Today we made it just past Flagstaff where we saw 4 vehicles overturned. well time to take a detour to Cottonwood. Rainy hike but it’s all good!

We have several Veterans in our family, so I get why we pay tribute to the men and women who served. I have kept every letter from my husband when he was deployed. I have kept ever letter and printed out every email from my son when he was deployed. I have wept the loss of our nephew Dan. I have witness the strength from family members who where left home to take care of the children. Looking in from the outside sometimes you might night see all the sacrifices. Like when my son tells me he has missed everyone of his younger sons birthdays until last year. Sacrifice on all levels.
I choke up every time I hear our National anthem because it reminds me of my family. With respect for my father Roy, husband Jim Crupi, nephew Dan, Uncle John Pedi, and my brother n law John I will stand for the flag and honor them.

Don’t Miss The Little Things
With all these big, romantic gestures to choose from, do you know what I kept coming back to as my reason for wedded bliss? The little day-to-day things, that neither of us stop to think twice about most of the time.
The way he opens my car door whenever I get in the car. The way he takes the edge of the sidewalk that’s by the street on our walks.
The way he steps in to do the dishes when I’ve done the cooking. The way he irritably catches a rattle snake for me. The way he washes my car and cleans the Salon, or drives me to the top of Usury at 4am for a run. The way he sits on the sideline, and cheers me on at all my races.
The way he lets me rant and rave about all the stresses in my life. The way he’ll miss a college football game to go clothes shopping with me. The way he’s willing to handle the list and push the cart at the at the grocery store.
THE WAY MY COFFEE MUG IS SET OUT EACH MORNING WITH A FRESH POURED CUP OF COFFEE!!
These “little” things are the things that make marriage worth it to me. They are the things that get me through the tough days that we all have.
I really hope is that I continue to recognize the little blessings of every hour that come because I’m spending a life with someone I love.

I learn so much from my clients. This week a couple came in that I have been doing there hair for 30 years. He is 91 and she is 81, I asked them what was new since our last visit. Sharon tells me they have incorporated a PJ Day. If they don’t have any appointment either one can call out Pajama Day. They then sit around all day in their PJ. I absolutely love this idea. Take advice from our elders, we should all be able to call out when we need a PJ Day!
