Estate planning for crypto assets can be a little different from traditional estate planning, as it involves digital assets that are not regulated by the same laws as physical assets. However, here are some general steps you can take to estate plan for your crypto assets:
👉Take inventory of your crypto assets: Start by making a list of all your crypto assets, including the name of the asset, the amount you own, and where they are stored.
👉Decide how you want your crypto assets to be distributed: Determine who you want to inherit your crypto assets and how you want them to be distributed. You can specify this in your will or trust, or use a separate document like a cryptocurrency will.
👉Choose a trusted executor or trustee: It's important to select someone you trust to handle your crypto assets after you pass away. This person should be familiar with how to manage digital assets, as well as have access to your passwords and private keys.
👉Secure your private keys: It's crucial to keep your private keys secure and ensure that your heirs can access them after you pass away. You can do this by storing your private keys in a safe deposit box or using a hardware wallet that can be passed on to your heirs.
It's important to regularly review and update your estate plan to ensure that it reflects your current wishes and the changing crypto landscape. We are happy to help with all of your cryptocurrency estate planning needs.

What is a BAD FAITH INSURANCE PRACTICE? This is when an insurance company is not being fair or honest with its customers!
Examples of this include:
* wrongly denying claims
* delaying payments without reason
* not investigating claims properly
* offering very low settlements
* not being clear about what a policy covers
* ignoring customers when they try to talk about their claims.
When insurance companies do these things, it's considered BAD FAITH. Customers have the right to be treated fairly and honestly by their insurance companies. Unfortunately, we see this happen way too frequently.
One way to ensure your insurance company is not taking advantage of you is to hire an attorney when you are in a car accident. Unlike the insurance company, your attorney has your best interest in mind and will be able to see right through these bad faith practices to get you the money you are entitled to.
Thank you for the awesome review, Stu. It was our pleasure to work with you and your wife and get your estate plan documents finalized in a timely manner.
If you are in a car accident:
🛑 Do not admit fault but do cooperate with the police.
🛑 Do not communicate directly with the other party after you leave the accident scene.
🛑 Do not post comments about your accident on social media.
🛑 Do not accept a check from the insurance company without consulting an attorney; oftentimes insurance companies try to give you the lowest offer possible.
Do you have LEGAL INSURANCE? Oftentimes employers will provide legal insurance as part of the benefit package and the employee might not even be aware.
Two well-known legal insurance companies are MetLife and ARAG.
Your legal insurance can provide different coverage for you with varying types of lawyers. However, one common covered benefit is the estate plan benefit where the legal insurance will cover your whole estate plan at little to no charge to you.
It doesn't hurt to ask your HR department if you have legal insurance. If you do, come talk to us! We accept most legal insurances!
Adulting is a part of growing up and getting your estate plan is an important step of making sure you are planning for and preparing for the future.

Meet Ivy and Luna. Last week these 2 sisters joined the Fleming and Monroe family. The Monroes had decided to purchase one puppy, but when Bob heard there were only 2 girls in the litter he convinced his wife they needed to buy both so the "sisters" could stay together. Having 2 puppies is a lot of work but they are such a cute addition to the family!

If you are in a car accident, we are here to help!
Injuries from a car accident can cause suffering besides physical pain including emotional distress and mental anguish. Compensation may be available for these damages, which can include anxiety, depression, loss of enjoyment of life, and loss of companionship.
Once we finish someone's estate plan, a common question we get is, "Now, where should I store these documents?"
Because some of these documents might be needed in your lifetime, like your medical power of attorney, we actually advise against keeping them in a safety deposit box at the bank.
The goal is to keep the documents protected but also accessible! We recommend keeping them in a fireproof safe or box in your house!
Make sure your loved ones, who potentially would need access to these documents, know where these documents are kept in your house!
We recently had a friend's sister get into a car accident. She had caused the accident but was unsure of what the next steps were.
She was being told different things by the insurance adjuster, the police officer, the victims of the accident, etc.
We recommended that our friend still have his sister give us a call so we could give her some advice on how to proceed and navigate this headache.
If you are in a car accident and it is your fault we are still happy to offer free advice on do's and dont's after the accident. Just give us a call!
Collections that mean a lot to you during your lifetime, are not just about the items themselves, but more about preserving your legacy from generation to generation.
Calling all collectors!! I am an avid sports collector. For example, when I heard the Diamondbacks were giving out Corbin Carroll Rookie of the Year bobbleheads, I knew I needed one (or two).
If you are a serious collector like I am, it is important to you that your collections are well taken care of after you pass. Part of our estate planning documents allow you to specifically name who you would like to have inherit your collections.
Come see us and we can get this paperwork in place and give you peace of mind.
If your dog bites someone, which insurance policy do you need to have to cover the medical bills of the other person?!
A. Disability Insurance
B. Mortgage Life Insurance
C. Homeowner's Insurance
D. Health Insurance
The answer is C. You would submit a claim to your homeowners insurance policy if your dog bites someone. It's important to know exactly what your insurance will cover as some dog breeds are excluded from coverage!
If you are out on a leisurely walk and a dog bites you, what kind of attorney should you hire?!
A. Malpractice Attorney
B. Personal Injury Attorney
C. Criminal Attorney
D. Family Attorney
The correct answer is B; you need to hire a Personal Injury Attorney! Lucky for you, we are personal injury attorneys and offer free consultations. Come talk to us if you or someone you know experiences a dog bite!

Did you know when you set up a trust you can set terms for which your beneficiaries can receive their inheritance?
For example, you could say your beneficiary needs to be employed or in school before they receive their portion of the estate. You can also designate some of the funds to be used for certain purposes such as education or to purchase a home.
The nice thing about a trust is it's your money and you can be as specific or general as you want when you create your trust. We are here to help make sure that the language of the trust reflects your wishes.
It may be tempting to take the Do-It-Yourself route for your Will creation, but oftentimes this can lead to a mess later.
Imagine minding your own business grocery shopping and suddenly slipping on a puddle of liquid and falling and breaking your wrist. Unfortunately "slip and fall" injuries at stores, restaurants and other places of business are quite common.
The question is, what do you do next?
What kind of attorney do you hire to help?
Is there such a thing as a slip and fall attorney?
The answer:
You can hire a personal injury attorney. At Fleming and Monroe, we handle these kinds of cases often. We do not charge anything up front and only get paid if we get you money. If you fall at a store and get injured, give us a call and let us help you navigate this uncertain time.
