We love that our students can get some hands on experience.

Today at Vanguard we had Class Meetings with the Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors. Mr. Elsasser spoke to them about school policies, introduced the principals and counselors, and also spoke about how they are capable of becoming their best selves and have a successful future after high school.

So proud of this amazing team!

Vanguard High School's Architectural Design Team won first place at the Technology Student Association (TSA) National Conference, held over the summer in Orlando, Florida. Competing against over 8,000 students from across the nation, the team's impressive skills and creativity earned them top honors in this highly competitive event.

For the architectural design competition, participants were asked to develop comprehensive architectural plans, including detailed physical and computer-generated models that showcased their vision of a generational vacation home on a body of water. The team designed a beautiful home on a cenote in the Yucatan Peninsula. Some key features of the winning project included Mayan designs, the Mayan calendar, and a slide that would take you from the home straight into the body of water.

📢 Attention MISD Families 📢 We understand there has been some concern about the recent change in Dallas College's Spring Break schedule for 2025. After carefully considering all impacts, we have decided that MISD will not be changing our 2025 spring break dates.

We understand that altering the school calendar at this point could create significant inconveniences for our families and staff, who have already made plans based on the published schedule. Our priority remains the success and well-being of our students, and we are confident that this decision supports that goal.

We want to assure you that our dual credit students and teachers will be able to enjoy an entire spring break. Dallas College has committed to working with instructors to ensure that the different Spring Break dates do not academically impact our dual credit students.
