Today our community celebrates Freedom Day. We began with a Black History activity, followed by Chef Troy’s Juneteenth menu of mouth-watering pork ribs, collard greens, mac ‘n cheese, and red velvet cake. Treat bags feature red foods to symbolize the blood shed by enslaved Black Americans. We reflect on the importance of this day, on our attitudes and actions, and vow to always be moving forward with love, respect and harmony.♥️
