Dry needling is a technique used by physical therapists to treat musculoskeletal pain and movement impairments. Some potential benefits include: ๐ชก
1. Pain relief: Dry needling can help reduce muscle pain and discomfort by targeting trigger points, which are hyperirritable spots in muscles.
2. Improved muscle function: By releasing tension and tightness in muscles, dry needling can enhance muscle function and improve range of motion.
3. Enhanced healing: The microtrauma caused by the insertion of the needle can stimulate the bodyโs natural healing response, promoting tissue repair and regeneration.
4. Reduced inflammation: Dry needling may help decrease inflammation in affected tissues, leading to decreased pain and improved function. ๐ชก
