Cuando leemos o escuchamos la palabra compromiso de inmediato la asociamos con el amoroso. Con esa promesa idílica de: “Te quieres casar conmigo para el resto de la vida” y después se desvanece en el camino y, mucho más, en estos tiempos, donde nuestra vida íntima la exponemos a diario por las redes sociales. Pero el compromiso es una obligación que alguien contrae y puede ser con una persona, organización e incluso con uno mismo.

Siempre digo que “he pateado las calles de Miami” y me refiero a que he cubierto eventos, asistido a ruedas de prensa, networking, entre otros, para promover a nuestra revista. Por supuesto, esta realidad me ha llevado a conocer a cualquier cantidad de personas que se han comprometido, por ejemplo, a apoyarnos en algún evento. Sirva en este caso el relacionado con nuestro concurso de cuentos donde celebramos las letras y nuestra cultura. Lo dicen con tal convencimiento que nos emocionamos porque pensamos: “Si cree en la cultura y ve el potencial para promover su marca o servicio”, pero al final ni te responden los correos o llamadas y “se hacen los locos”. Lo peor es que cuando te vuelven a ver en persona, te saludan como si nada.
