Can we get Kauderer, Goldstein and Daniels to throw a block party or what?
The Goldstein’s, local heroes.
Developers bought big chunk of Little Haiti. The result so far is a ‘happy’ surprise In Miami’s imperiled Little Haiti, the developers who stunned the neighborhood at the end of 2022 by snapping up a bundle of main-street commercial properties are trying something different and unexpected.

Nickelback, Chris Brown, and other stars scored $200 million in taxpayer funds meant to keep arts groups afloat during the pandemic. They won't say what they did with the money. The SBA's SVOG grants were intended for struggling small artists. But big stars like Post Malone and Chris Brown got $200M in pandemic relief funds.

We would like to apologize to everyone for what Churchills has endured the past 2 years. Most importantly, we would like to apologize to our staff & their families for being directly impacted. As small business owners, we fought like hell to provide job security & the promise of continued growth in the community. We know you believed in our vision & we thank you for the years of commitment and support in leading a landmark venue. We always put our people first, & never lost sight of the importance Churchills had in our city and beyond.
We understand the impact Churchills closing has had on the guests, the music community, the arts, & Little Haiti as a whole. It has been constantly dismissed & overlooked by the media & we know the pain & frustration it has caused. WE’RE SORRY.
We thank everyone for their support during a very difficult time & for sharing a belief that independent venues should not be taken for granted. As Miami continues to change, more businesses will be faced with the same difficulties that we have, but hopefully we can inspire small business owners to share their stories when faced with adversity. We spent years building additional venues & stages to support Churchills, not to have it taken away. Churchills should have remained open and operating to this day.
If you follow instagram, they won’t share this update. It doesn’t fit the false narrative they worked so hard to create & divide. But like everything, there’s our story, their story, & then there’s the truth. Unfortunately this truth was avoidable, and has come at the expense of everyone.

Miami Scumlord Playbook (Landlord Edition)
Step 1: Buy historic music venue & property $800,000
Step 2: Take fast money loans against the successful business & run it into the ground.
Step 3: Lease the failing business to local entrepreneurs to rebuild & preserve the venue for live music.
Step 4: Falsely represent the business you leased as STILL your own, and receive $250,000 in pandemic aid.
Step 5: “Mal-iciously” evict business owners of the actual business after being confronted for taking government aid intended for small businesses (rent/staff payroll/bills)
Step 6: Influence & manipulate local media, journalists, and various ankle biters to spread false narrative & champion the eviction. Evict the tenant during a global pandemic and lie to the public saying the venue will reopen better than ever!
Step 7: List property for sale $4,500,000
Step 8: Thank the local music scene for their fantastic support, contributions, & embarrassment of “punk” culture.

Cover up the corruption, cover up the coercion, bury the story for all those involved.

NT Editor Jose Duran thinks suppressing the facts and praying Church reopens to cover their garbage reporting is the answer.
No official statement from the venue, nothing posted for improvement plans, just more assumptions for you filthy animals to feast on 🍽
Closed over 2 years, drowned in legal proceedings, covered in lies and deceit from the inside out.
Where’s all the people supporting the shady developers now???

Update: Facts not Fiction
For the record, Churchills was not a victim of the pandemic. Churchill’s closure lays solely on the shady actions of the landlord, Mallory Kauderer, and his lackeys.
We’ve made it clear since the onset, this issue relates to the entire Little Haiti community, and people deserve to know the truth.
