Miami Dance Festival is an annual event founded by Ivo Vieira. The first edition will take place on December 28-30 in Miami. The multi-cultural event brings renowned artists from all over the world, and represents various popular dance styles such as Kizomba, Brazilian Zouk, Bachata and Salsa.
After dedicating 5 years to the production of the first and the biggest Zouk and Kizomba congress in North America located in Los Angeles. Ivo is now proud to bring the first Miami Dance Festival to take place in his new city, Miami.
About Ivo Vieira:
Born in Portugal to parents from Mozambique and Angola, Ivo Vieira has devoted his life to spreading African and Latin-American dance throughout the world.
Since 1998, Ivo has trained in Brazil, USA and throughout Europe brining his unique style, singular passion and unparalleled experience to hundreds of dancers. While working as a choreographer and dancer in various performances, festivals and events, Ivo has risen to become one of the world’s premier instructors in the African styles of Kizomba and Semba and recently Brazilian Zouk.
With great respect for the traditions and history of these dances, Ivo brings his vast knowledge of the Afro-Latin idiom from around the world to expand and explore what they can become.
Ivo Vieira currently live in Miami, Florida, where he aspires to innovate and share his love of Brazilian Zouk and Kizomba around the world. Ivo is the international Pioneer of Kizomba in USA.
