It's always there 🙌🏽
As the end of school swiftly approaches, some things may not be going how you planned it!
Maybe you didn't get into the college of your choice.
Maybe you didn't land the summer internship.
Maybe it just feels like a lot of chaos right now!
Look for the positive, keep the faith, and remember you have your Dear Diary sisters to lean on! ✨
Time for something NEW 🌺
The girlies have been hard at work building out something fresh, something fun, something NEW...
But the mission of Dear Diary remains the same! 🥰
We stand on being a sisterhood of Black girls seeking to become professionals and entrepreneurs!
If you've been here a while or if you're brand new, tell us ONE thing you hope to accomplish over the summer of 2024 so we can cheer you on along the way! 🙌🏽
Cough, Cough... FACTS 🗣️
It's usually the one's speaking the loudest trying to cover up their own failings! 🤷🏽♀️
I don't care if it's a "so-called" friend or even family... If they are trying to bring you down and keep you from bettering yourself, those are the people you need to let go!
And be at peace with it! Your future self will thank you!!! 🩷
Never goes out of style 🤷🏽♀️
Girl, just because THEY are doing it... doesn't mean YOU have to!
Stay classic, and watch you break into the life you have been working and praying for! 🙌🏽
It’s called “your lane” for a reason…
No one can run it but you! 🙌🏾
You are not late, you are not behind!
Just stay focused on your goals! 🥰
This is what we love to see! 👏🏽
When Black women link up, prepare for greatness... It’s happening!
And these 2 women are about to make major moves in the WNBA!
And that's exactly what you will find in our programs, Dear Diary, Inc. and the Group Chat Social Club!
We are making moves to see Black women win collectively! ✨
Be sure to follow along for more inspiration!
But they will try you! 🤷🏽♀️
If they put enough negative thoughts in your head, you will start to believe it!
So shine on in your greatness girl and let them watch! Block out anything keeping you from your true passion and purpose! ✨
And you can do it WITH support! 🙌🏽

If you take care of Black women, you take care of everybody! Black women have always been the cornerstone of society. They do it all, give all, and care for all. Imagine how the world would be if we gave Black women what they give everyone else!! I’ve made it my mission to find out! 😉
Dear Diary Mentoring Program The Group Chat: For Black Women Who Want MORE!
Let’s talk about taking care of your beautiful self 💛, inside and out. It’s about listening to what your body and heart need, especially in a world that doesn’t always give you the softness you deserve.
Mindfulness and Relaxation: First, let’s breathe. Really breathe. When the world gets too loud, find a quiet spot, close those bright eyes of yours, and take deep breaths. 🧘🏾♀️
Emotional Awareness: It’s okay to feel, baby girl. Happy, sad, frustrated, or overjoyed—it’s all part of being wonderfully you. Let’s talk about those feelings, name them, and understand where they come from. Keep a little journal, a treasure chest of your thoughts and feelings. It’s a safe space for you to express yourself. ✍🏽
Physical Activity: Moving your body is like a love letter to yourself. Find joy in dancing to your favorite song, running, or stretching your body to the sky. It’s not just about staying fit; it’s about feeling alive, free, and unstoppable. 🏋🏽♀️
Digital Wellness: This little device in our hands, it’s a window to the world, but let’s not let it cloud our sky. There’s so much beauty around us and within us that no screen can capture. Promise me you’ll take time to disconnect, to see the world through your own beautiful eyes. 😍
Remember, self-care is your superpower. It’s how you tell yourself and the world that you matter, that you’re worthy of love and tenderness, especially from yourself. You’re growing up in a time when not everyone will understand or respect the beauty of your journey, but we see you, Iwe love you, and we're here to walk with you, every step of the way. 🙌🏽
What steps can you take now? 👀
Becoming a social media influencer isn't just about being seen—it's about being heard and making an impact. Here's how you can turn your social media into a thriving platform for positive influence and financial growth:
Find Your Niche: What are you passionate about? Fashion, tech, beauty, activism? Carve out a space for your unique voice. Your authenticity is your superpower. 🎤✨
Create Consistent Content: Consistency is key! Plan your content and post regularly. Whether it's daily stories, weekly posts, or regular tweets, keep your audience engaged and looking forward to more. 📆🔑
Engage Your Community: Talk with them, not at them. Respond to comments, ask questions, and create interactive content. Your followers should feel like they're part of your journey. 🗣️💖
Collaborate and Network: Join forces with other creators, especially those who uplift the Black community. Together, you're stronger and can reach a wider audience. 🤝🌍
Learn and Grow: Stay updated with the latest social media trends and tools. Attend webinars, take online courses, and read up on marketing strategies. 📚💡
Be Patient and Persistent: Growth takes time and resilience. Don't be discouraged by slow starts—keep pushing, and remember, every big influencer started with a single follower. 🌱➡️🌳
Monetize Your Influence: As your following grows, so do opportunities. Look into sponsorships, affiliate marketing, and creating your own merchandise. Your platform can be a path to entrepreneurship. 💼💸
Remember, as young Black girls, your voice matters, your story matters, and your influence can shake the world. Start small, dream big, and rise as the influencer you were meant to be.
Here at Dear Diary Mentoring Program we are looking for new ambassadors to create content for our platform! If that’s you, reach out today to see how we can work together!
We're still hiring. See the posting to apply.

As a SHE-EO, hiring is one of my favorite and most challenging responsibilities. I saw Steven Bartlett do this and thought...man that's genius, we should do that too and here we are!
I will ALWAYS have a place for someone who is talented, innovative, hardworking, and has a great attitude! If you're THAT person, YOU tell me what job you would like on my team.
We have multiple vacant roles at Dear Diary and The Group Chat, a nonprofit membership-based community for Black girls and women. Like Bartlett, I am a firm believer that A-class talent, in the right environment, with the right mission, can add disproportionate value to any team!
I know there are people out there that are too talented for the role they're in, they aren't being challenged in the right way and deep down, they know they're capable of doing more! I also know that I don't know everything and while I can create multiple job descriptions for roles that I THINK we need, I may be missing something! You can help me help us!
✅ What I Care About:
-You're hardworking
-You're a good person
-You're willing to learn
-You have integrity
❌ What I Do Not Care About:
-University qualifications and accreditations
-If you have done the role before (let's innovate together)
-Age
✍ If I'm talking to you, this is what I would like you to do:
1. Send me an email at [email protected]
2. In the subject line, write the job title you would like to have.
3. In the email, tell me exactly what your dream job description would be.
4. Tell me why you're the right person for that role.
5. Please include a link to your LinkedIn profile.
If you know someone that may be looking for a new job this year, please tag them or send them this post privately! We may both thank you for it later.
Thank you!
Your Monday Reminder ✨
You're already making history just by being YOU! 👏🏽
Every smile, every dream, and every step you take is like a magic wand rewriting the story. Your ancestors are cheering you on, and every little win of yours is a high five from them. 🙌🏽
Remember, being yourself is your superpower. Your journey is yours alone – filled with joy, dance moves, and maybe a few epic fails, but that's okay! Success isn't a straight line; it's more like a dance routine with its own rhythm and style. 🥰
Embrace your sparkle, chase what you love, and make waves. The world is your stage, and it's ready for your show. Be bold, be fearless, and most importantly, be you. Because you, yes YOU, are rewriting the rulebook on success, one dazzling step at a time.
We invite you in, to join us, to walk this journey with us, as we change the face of Black girlhood and Black womanhood. As we build communities, businesses, and ecosystems that serve us, our communities, and our neighborhoods. As we take agency over our lives and realize that no matter what rules they try to make, they can’t rewrite HERSTORY! ✨

Taking this advice from Miss Zora Neale Hurston on this beautiful Monday☀️💚 go where you’re valued, queens.. to Dear Diary!!🧡💕
Turning dreams into reality, one program at a time!✨ Grateful for the Career AcceleratHER program we ran this past December, where our participants gained skills, knowledge, and even a kickstart for their small businesses with stipends! We are here to fuel your passions and empower your journey. How can Dear Diary help you reach new heights? 🌟
The news about Dr. Gay really hearts my heart. As a Black woman, particularly in a leadership position, I know firsthand how hard we work to obtain the positions that we hold. Our success is NEVER given and even when we have it, we have to constantly fight to keep it and to do well in it. We are often given positions, projects, and teams that are at their lowest and we are expected to improve them expeditiously without the resources or support to do so. We are expected to fail and spend most of our time trying to prove to others that we aren’t failing! In addition to that, it is sometimes our own people plotting on our downfall. This is very disheartening! This is also why I have been very intentional about working so hard to support the advancement of Black women realizing that if we don’t do it for ourselves, no one will do it for us! Dr. Gay, I am praying for you sis and am more than happy to be a support system for you in any way I can.
It’s Christmas Eve! And the last day to apply for membership into The Group Chat Social Club! Change your circle in 2024! Join us!

I’ve always loved working with Black girls and women. However, I sometimes found it here to find us, especially post pandemic! I’d ask “where do Black women hang out?! Where do Black women entrepreneurs spend their time? Where and how do Black women find friends? Then I realized that I wasn’t the only one asking these questions! That’s why I created The Group Chat Social Club! A free, online social club for Black women looking to connect with one another! A place for all things Black women and Black womanhood! Our applications are open now until Sunday, December 24! Apply now at thegroupchatsocialclub.com. I’ll see you in The Group Chat!
