So I really don't know what to say Kyle was usually the one to write these types of posts so bear with me.
On Wednesday Kyle passed away. He was the heart and soul of the Helm and everyone's best friend. He was a boss, mentor, friend and father figure to many of the people that not only worked here but hung out at the Helm for years. He loved the Helm, downtown and La Crosse community in general and would go above and beyond to help out wherever he could. There's not a place on this planet that I could go wearing a Helm shirt and not have someone come up and say "I love that place, Kyle's such a great guy!" He was a one of a kind and will be missed by us all. I could go on and tell a million stories and one liners but I'll end with this. On Wednesday when I found out I was told by both Lisa and Nate to close the bar and the only thing I could think is that Kyle would be pi**ed if I closed early. His way (the Helm way) will live on through all of us employees.

And please have patience with us employees we are going to have moments where we need to walk away and collect ourselves. Please keep Deb and Leah in your thoughts and prayers.
