Karis Collective
Karis Collective is a counseling group of therapist that work with insurance, private pay and sliding scale. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Each therapist specializes in Trauma and specializes. Karis Collective is founded on the belief that it is through relationship that healing comes. Each of us brings a unique story that has impacted our life in both positive and negatives ways. Each of us endures a personal struggle and we develop methods of coping. When our methods of coping with the world are not working, I am here to support. T
Karis Collective is so excited to be partnering with Northwest Ketamine Clinics with the Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy Program! NW has such an incredible group of staff that are passionate about the healing process Ketamine can bring to the community!

RED is the opposite of BLUE! ❤💙
RED has been going to anger management training. He’s the opposite of BLUE and needs a little higher level of training. He’s great with people and is working on how to greet others. He’s learning proper social skills. We all need a little refresher now and then and RED is no exception. We’ll keep you posted on his progress and all the things he’s learning.

We’re a little over a month into 2023! 😎👍🏋️♀️⛷🤾⛹️♀️🤽♂️🚴♀️
Some of you started a and some of you did not. You might be surprised, but new year resolutions can be a good thing. We encourage our clients to go hang out at places where others are engaging in positive/ motivational activities. This could be the GYM, sauna, or a popular local walking trail. It could be the park or joining a new club. All of these activities put yourself near others that have a positive, hopeful mindset. When we surround ourselves with others that have a positive, hopeful, and optimistic mindset, their energy rubs off on us. Get out and get some of those good vibes.
If you’re looking for a good cookbook recommendation, Charissa has been enjoying some of the recipes in Practical Paleo, A Customized Approach to Health and a Whole-Foods Lifestyle by Diane Sanfilippo. The recipes are simple, grain free, easy to follow, and quick! Charissa mentioned that cooking nutritious and healthy meals at home is one way she self cares. “Selfcare doesn’t need to be a big production.”
How do you Selfcare?
What recommendations do you have for learning to love to cook?
Super enjoyable watch! They did a great job capturing what therapy can be like! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Charissa
Watch Stutz | Netflix Official Site In candid conversations with actor Jonah Hill, leading psychiatrist Phil Stutz explores his early life experiences and unique, visual model of therapy.
This Fall, Charissa went on a trip to Antelope Canyon, AZ with some other Therapists, Mallory, and Lisa! They all had a great time. This is a great reminder to get outside your community and collaborate with others. This generates new ideas and opportunities for growth. We encourage you to get outside your comfort zones and challenge yourself.
WELCOME BACK ALYSSA! ❤
We hope you had a great trip on your Europe adventures!
RED’S IN TRAINING TO BE A THERAPY DOG!
A couple of you have asked why Red wears outfits, so we figured we should let you know! Red is in training to become a Therapy Dog. In Blue’s younger years, he too wore outfits when he was in training. Now Red is in training.
The outfits signal to them and others that they are working or “on duty.” When the outfit is on, it’s time to work, when the outfit is off, it’s time to play or relax. Once Red understands when he’s on duty and off duty, he won’t wear the outfits any longer. Blue got so he knew when he was working and when he was off duty. Next time you see Red at the office, he’ll most likely be wearing a fun outfit. Let us know if you have any questions.
Selfcare does not have to be a big production. It can be as simple as cooking yourself a good meal, or getting outside and going for a walk. Charissa recently nourished her body by making some homemade banana chocolate muffins. These muffins were gluten free and she shared them with the rest of the Karis Team! They were delicious!
Daylight Savings is just around the corner and our days will become shorter.
Here are a couple tips to help with this transition.
1) Get outside and move your body. Kelly enjoys road cycling. Have you tried it? It's a great workout.
2) Treat yourself. Pick up a new book, cook a good meal, or take a bath.
3) Reach out to us! Give us a shout and schedule a session. We're here to help.
