Wave Rider Aquatic Fitness

Good morning, Wave Riders. This is a post for new folks following--THANK YOU> Here's what to expect in an aqua biking class/circuit class

1. Sign up! This helps us plan, and it also helps us show participation numbers. This class is heavily sponsored by Richmond VA Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities. It is free until March, then it will be roughly $5 a class (This is a boutique fitness class not offered anywhere in Richmond. The national average for this class is $35 a class--so y'all are getting a deal!)

When you arrive at Bellemeade Community Center--SIGN EVERYBODY IN! This helps the Bellemeade pool get funded. If you are bringing your kids to play in the shallow end while you take the class--sign them in too. If you are watching but not biking --sign in. 'Nough said

2. This is a 50 minute class that starts at 6pm. Arrive early to position your bike so we can all kick off together promptly at 6pm.
After aqua spinning, Krystal L. Pinckney leads an Embodied by Me yoga experience in the pool It is a relaxing way to end the evening. This class starts at 7:15pm.

3. Bring--bathing suit, water bottle, towel and shoes you can wear in the pool --those pedals will dig into your feet. There are changing rooms/showers at the pool for our use.

4. If we have more than 6 participants, we bring out the combat gear or circuit train gear for a fun, high energy circuit class.Half of the time will be aqua spin, half poolcircuit.

5. Have fun, work at your pace. After class, we welcome your feedback. Do you have a musical artist you like? Tell us--we change the playlist every class. Was something not working in the class??--Let us know. Instructors on deck have a different experience than those in the pool. Did you love it?? Keep giving us those strokes, tell a friend and continue to do something good for your body.

It's a double header...Drop your bike in tonight at Bellemeade Community Center indoor pool. starts promptly at 6pm, so arrive early to get situated. Bring water shoes (those pedals dig in), towel, swim suit/bike shorts and water bottle for this 50 minute cardio and strength class. Stay for a second class, Embodied by Me then leads a relaxing aqua yoga sesh afterwards at 7:15 pm.
Please RSVP by signing up online or dropping a note in the comments. If the bikes fill, we will lead an Aqua Circuit class utilizing the Indigo Aquatics liquid gloves and split the class so all can ride.

3.1 WEB Search This class will provide entry level participants with the knowledge and skills to prepare for the Lifeguard Training Course. This class will focus primarily on stroke improvement and conditioning. Interested candidates should be familiar with freestyle and elementary breaststroke.
