I did it 🥹🥹🥹 this upcoming month not only are we celebrating my salon grand opening but it’s also my 3 year anniversary as an esthetician 🥳 Going to school during a pandemic and opening my business a month after graduating was definitely a ballsy move. I would’ve never thought that 3 years later I’d be here opening up a whole salon with consistent clientele. I have been blessed with the most loyal, kind, funniest, sweetest clients ever, and I just wanted to take time to thank each and every one of you. BROW WAX QUEEN 👑

Brows are the easiest add on to any service, don’t neglect them!! 💓

I know how frustrating ingrown hairs can be and I’m here for you 🫶🏼

Apart from ingrown hairs, post-inflammatory redness or hyperpigmentation caused by ingrown hairs might just be the worst part. These are some things you can avoid to lessen your risk 💓

💗 Picking/squeezing - I completely understand that infected or inflamed ingrown hairs hurt, but picking at them or squeezing them can cause hyperpigmentation, scarring, and can even lead to a deeper infection.

💗 Using an abrasive scrub or physical exfoliant on inflamed ingrown hairs - you all know I’m a huge supporter of physically exfoliating your skin, especially when it comes to getting the smoothest wax results, but when it comes to inflamed, irritated blemishes, opt for more hydration rather than exfoliation. If you struggle with congested and stubborn ingrown hairs, it’s definitely recommended to use a physical exfoliant. My favorite is the Zandi Land Deck Scrub 🫶🏼

💗 Not moisturizing daily - When you skin is inflamed and irritated, it needs as much protection as possible. Moisturizing daily will ensure a healthy skin barrier so ingrown hairs can heal as quickly as possible, therefore reducing your risk for post redness or dark spots. My favorite hydrator is the Fur Oil pictured above 🫶🏼

💗 Wearing tight clothes - this includes leggings, yoga pants, skinny jeans, or non cotton underwear. In general, I advise against these things after waxing but especially if you’re more prone to ingrowns. Friction and compression are a no no 🙅🏻‍♀️

The answer is YES wax babes! 💗

As long as you wear a tampon or menstrual cup during your appointment you are totally fine to get waxed on your period. If you are not comfortable using these methods during your period remember the service is only 15 minutes long and as soon as it's over you can remove the tampon or cup.

I do understand that not everyone's periods are 100% predictable, (and I have been very lenient lately) but unfortunately my policies will still be in place for any last minute cancellations. The last minute cancellation policy requires 50% of the service charged if a notice is given less than 24 hours in advance.

I appreciate all of your support and hope you understand these policies are in place to make sure my small business is running smoothly and efficiently, keeping my time and clients in mind.
