Story time…I’ve been doing pop up step classes at a local playground for the last few weeks. During one of the classes, a group of kids came along to play. Instead of playing, they ended up being our audience. The way they watched and applauded us made my heart smile. I was amazed at the huge impression we had on them. I hope to recreate that moment but I need your help! Join me for a couple more pop up classes while the weather is still nice. Tomorrow and next Saturday at 11:45am catch me on the 38th street school playground (located at the back of the school near the play area). No registration required. Heyyy!! So I took a little sabbatical, some time to regroup and reset. But now I miss y’all!! Xtreme Hip Hop classes will resume regularly starting next week Wednesday. But in the meantime IT’S A POP UP CLASS!! Let’s dust off those boards and get back into the swing of things, tomorrow at 6pm. July is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month (BIPOC Mental Health Month) which brings awareness to the unique challenges that affect the mental health of racial and ethnic minority groups. There are obstacles in place which makes it hard for BIPOC individuals to make mental health a priority such as cost, stigma, structural barriers and more.
As a way to eliminate a barrier and promote mental health within my community, all classes for the month of July are HALF OFF!! Classes are only $10 this month for both yoga and Xtreme Hip Hop step aerobics. If you’ve been thinking about taking a class with me, now’s the time to give it a try. You can signup for multiple classes at once, just add them each to your cart on the website.

Okay so listen I have a lot of updates for y’all so this post is long as 💩 but read it all anyway 😂😂.
Thing 1: OMG The Step N’ Yo Flow class was AMAZING!! (where I combined yoga and Xtreme Hip Hop step aerobics into one class) I didn’t get a lot of pics besides the ones you see here but I wish you could’ve been there to experience the vibe. Everyone really enjoyed it. I’ma run that one back!!! So be on the lookout for details on the next session. If you were there this Saturday, comment below and talk a little bit about your experience (good, bad or indifferent 🙂).
Thing 2: Xtreme Hip Hop step aerobics class is tomorrow night!! So randomly, I’ve been seeing Xtreme Hip Hop in the news a lot lately. Although it’s been around for quite a while, there’s been a new buzz about it as of late. If you’ve seen the videos or just recently heard about it, join me for class. My class is very much beginner friendly but you will definitely sweat and work but it’s the best time ever. Classes are Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
Thing 3: I know I have this new schedule of yoga and step aerobic classes popping off but there are some changes to the schedule ONLY FOR THIS WEEK. No yoga class Thursday evening and no Xtreme Hip Hop or yoga class Saturday morning. But next week I’m back to the regular schedule.

Today is World Meditation Day. The day raises awareness of the benefits of meditation; an ancient practice which originated in India in 1500 BC to cultivate mindfulness and a deep inward connection to the divine or the inner self. Meditation is known to reduce stress, enhance concentration and increase overall physical and mental health. Be sure to take some time today to practice mindfulness.
