Remember, although you’re learning a creative endeavor, you should strive to be very organized in how you practice that endeavor. Structure can breed freedom. Along with that, always leave room in your practice sessions to be completely creative. Sometimes, I like to play completely free at the end of my practice sessions.

This is a perfect example of why many compare the bebop language to Bach. This line is so logical, yet beautiful.

WEEKLY LICK 24: Herbie Hancock II-V-I in Bb from his magnificent tune "A Tribute to Someone" from his second Blue Note album "My Point of View."
As always...
Practice the entire lick, then break it up into smaller licks. In the case, there is a phrase on the IIm7 and V7. Try integrating this into your own vocabulary by resolving into the lick.
