DECEMBER 2023
• JVA attended and presented at the AVCA Convention in Tampa, FL! Our Club Management Track was highly attended by both JVA Members and non-member clubs. JVA Members can access the resources and presentations from the Club Management Track on our website!
• Cat Dailey-Minyard was elected as the newest JVA Board Member! https://jvavolleyball.org/jva-welcomes-cat-dailey-minyard-to-the-jva-board-of-directors/
• We began accepting nominations for Club of the Month, presented by 431 Sports! https://jvavolleyball.org/awards/jva-club-of-the-month/
• JVA chose the recipient of the Above and Beyond Award and announced it during the JVA Annual Meeting!
• JVA Next held its first inaugural meeting in Tampa during the AVCA Convention! Multiple next-gen Club Directors and Leaders met to collaborate. They will continue to meet throughout the next year. JVA Next can be joined at any time! https://jvavolleyball.org/membership/jva-next/

DECEMBER 2024
• AVCA Convention will take place in December next year and will include our Club Management Track, the JVA Annual Meeting, and other presentations by JVA speakers.

NOVEMBER 2023
• JVA held the largest boys' volleyball non-national event in history - co-hosted by AAU Volleyball! The Chi-Town Boys' Challenge had almost 800 boys' team from around the country and was a phenomenal three-day event! • JVA presented the Coaches' Learning Lab at our first tournament of the season! This is an area where Club Coaches are able to see what being a JVA Member is all about. • JVA hosted the first Club Director Live of the season! These are monthly calls with JVA Club Directors to collaborate with each other.
• We announced the two coaches that JVA sponsored for the AVCA Diversity Award Program - Julia Borges & DeMarcus Lewis!
• The JVA/BVCA Club Challenge Series tournaments were posted. The BVCA Club Challenge Series powered by JVA includes a series of weekend events where junior beach volleyball clubs align their ranked teams to compete against one another for the win:

AUGUST 2023
• JVA event registration opened August 1 and had multiple events sell out in the first few minutes!
• The JVA Sponsor Program accepted applications for indoor clubs from August 1-31 and for outdoor clubs from August 1 - October 15. The Sponsor Program gave back $200,000 to JVA Member Clubs in its 7th year.
• The JVA Challenge Series began accepting applications for the 2023-2024 season. 25 tournaments across the country were chosen and can be found here: https://jvavolleyball.org/tournaments/jva-challenge-series/

AUGUST 2024
• JVA event registration will open again in August! Make sure you are a JVA Member to get discounted pricing and access to priority registration!
• The JVA Sponsor Program will begin accepting applications for indoor clubs and outdoor clubs beginning in August 1. The Sponsor Program will give back $200,000 to JVA Member Clubs in its 8th year.
• The JVA Challenge Series will start accepting applications for the 2024-2025 season.

• The JVA/BVCA National Championship took place in California at Hermosa Beach!
• JVA announced the 2023 Best in Beach athletes!

JULY 2024
• The BVCA National Championship takes place in Hermosa Beach, CA from July 14-18! With over 100 clubs and 550 teams in attendance, it is the largest junior beach volleyball championship in the country.
• The JVA Best in Beach athletes are announced!

• The JVA Summerfest & Windy City Round-Up tournaments brought almost 1,000 boys' and girls' teams to Columbus and Chicago to compete!
• JVA announced a partnership with Athlete Foundry, a veteran-owned EdTech company, providing its premium student-athlete holistic development platform to all JVA clubs as a member-benefit.
• Optimum Beach was named the JVA 2023 June Club of the Month!
• Announced the JVA All-National Team & the JVA Boys' All-National Team, powered by Fivestar!

JUNE 2024

APRIL 2023
• Through our efforts at the 2023 JVA World Challenge, we were able to raise a record-breaking $20,000, which was donated directly to the Side-Out Foundation’s Dig Pink Campaign to help save lives.
• The JVA World Challenge was the largest volleyball event hosted by the JVA in 2023 with over 800 teams participating.
• 360 Sports Academy was the JVA April 2023 Club of the Month!

APRIL 2024
• JVA World Challenge will take place April 12-14 in Louisville, KY and 1st place in each division will earn paid entry to the AAU National Championships! There are almost 900 teams currently registered for divisions up to 17U.
• Top Court Events is hosting an 18U National Championship event that will overlap the JVA World Challenge with play from April 11-13. There are almost 200 18s teams currently registered!

• The JVA Board of Directors approved a grant of $150,000 (to be paid $50,000 per year) to First Point for various grow-the-game initiatives. Previously, JVA had supported First Point Volleyball with a multi-year $125,000 grant – bringing JVA’s total undesignated support to First Point to $275,000.
• Announced the 2023 JVA Boys Watch List powered by Fivestar, which featured nearly 600 boys indoor junior volleyball athletes from JVA member clubs nationwide.
• Announced the 2023 JVA Watch List powered by Fivestar, which featured over 3,600 girls indoor junior volleyball athletes from 200 JVA member clubs across the country.
• Kokoro Volleyball Club was the JVA March 2023 Club of the Month!

MARCH 2024
• Accepting nominations for the JVA Boys' Watch List.

• We celebrated the National Women & Girls in Sports Day
• The Charm City Challenge took place in Baltimore, MD the first weekend of February and had over 350 girls' teams participating!
• Country Fire Volleyball was named the JVA 2023 February Club of the Month!
• The Athletes of Color Alliance (AOCA) held their second annual gathering!
• The MKE Jamboree held over 250 girls' teams and was a really successful event in Milwaukee!

FEBRUARY 2024
• The Charm City Challenge will bring over 350 teams to Baltimore over the first weekend in February!
• The AOCA will be hosting their third annual gathering during the Charm City Challenge.
• The MKE Jamboree will host both boys' & girls' teams this year on February 10-11!

Whether you're six weeks into club season or getting ready to begin, the JVA Club Training Curriculum is a great resource for your club's leadership and coaching staff to have a cohesive approach to training your athletes across all ages!

The JVA Club Training Curriculum serves as a resource for junior volleyball clubs to:

• Create a system of checks and balances for directors to evaluate their coaches at each age division to determine if they are teaching the essential concepts and skills for athletes to be prepared for the next age division.
• Act as a guide for coaches to reference to train the skills and concepts for their age division.

• Rock ‘N Rumble took place in Cleveland Jan 7-8 & Jan 15-16. The event hosted over 450 girls’ teams and had 21 1st place winners between the two weekends.
• Nike was named the Official Uniform Provider of the JVA through our 431 Sports Partnership.
• Endless Momentum VBC was named the 2023 January Club of the Month.
• Brew City Battle, co-hosted with AAU Volleyball, held almost 300 teams in Milwaukee in the final weekend of January and had 16 1st place winners across all ages & divisions.

JANUARY 2024
• Rock ‘N Rumble, presented by Nike, will be kicking off the first two weekends of the new year & will have over 620 teams in attendance! That is an increase of almost 200 teams from last year! Can’t wait to see everyone in Cleveland!
• The MKE Brew City Battle, co-hosted by , takes place the last weekend in January! This boys’ tournament will host 15-18u teams in Milwaukee!
