Celebrating Nurse Day at ALBA.

We want to say thank you to the families, paraprofessionals and school leaders for working together to provide daily lunch items for our teachers at ALBA. Your support is invaluable. Teachers were very happy and a great social time.

Thank you ALBA’s PTO for the wonderful teacher appreciation gift to the staff. There were a lot of happy teacher faces.

Feria del Libro del 10 al 18 de octubre de 2023

¡Hola Comunidad ALBA!

Nuestra escuela organizará la Feria del Libro Scholastic del 10 al 18 de octubre de 2023. Considere visitarnos y agregar libros a la biblioteca de su hogar. Disponemos de libros en ambos idiomas y otros útiles como diarios, bolígrafos, lápices, etc.

La Feria del Libro está ubicada en el nivel inferior del salón 11 en la parte trasera de este salón de clases. El horario de ventas es de 7:40 am a 11:40 am y de 12:35 pm a 2:20 pm. Las maestras se han apuntado dos veces para visitar la feria del libro. La Feria del Libro estará abierta de 3:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m. durante las conferencias de padres y maestros, el lunes 16, y martes 17, de octubre. Los padres pueden venir a visitar la feria con sus hijos.

Book Fair October 10th - 18th, 2023

Hello ALBA Community!

Our school will be having the Scholastic Book Fair set up from October 10th through October 18th, 2023. Please consider stopping by and adding books to your home library. We have books in both languages and other supplies like journals, pens, pencils, etc.

The Book Fair is located in the lower level in room 11 on the back side of this classroom. The hours of operations are 7:40 am to 11:40 am, and 12:35 pm to 2:20 pm. Teachers have signed up twice to visit the book fair. During Parent Teacher Conferences on Monday, October 16th and Tuesday, October 17th, the Book Fair will be open from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Parents are welcome to come and visit with their children.

Make sure to encourage your child to buy books instead of buying little “toys” or devices.

ALERT: Due to inclement weather, Milwaukee Public Schools will be closed Thursday, February 23, 2023. All schools will be closed. Virtual learning will not take place tomorrow.

All Central Services and Administrative Buildings will open at noon and staff should report to their work site at that time.

The kinder enrollment for next year started today. You can visit us at North Division High School, 1011 West Center Street, and visit our table today, Saturday, Feb 4, 2023 from 9:00am to 12pm. Ms. Segura, Ms. Valdivia, Ms. Garcia and Ms. Vizcaya will greet you and answer questions.

You can also visit us at school on Monday and will help you enroll your child for the 2023-2024 school year. You can also call Ms Juarez, Parent Coordinator, to schedule a tour.

As you may be aware ALBA Student Council hosted the very 1st Middle School “Winter Wonderland” dance last Friday evening. We all had a BLAST! Our ALBA students have such great vibes. They were dressed looking sharp and had smiles for miles on their faces.
The kids can’t wait to have another one - and neither can the staff! Thank you parents for giving us such amazing students to work with AND have fun with.

!Gracias a todos que asistieron al programa navideño! Fue un placer compartir con ustedes el desarrollo de los talentos musicales de K4 hasta el 8vo grado. Fue la primera vez en historia de la escuela ALBA que pidieron un “encore” y esperamos que no sea la ultima.😊

Thank you to everyone who attended yesterday’s Christmas program. It was a pleasure to share with you the development of our students’ musical talents from K4 through 8th grade. It was also the first time, and hopefully not the last, in the history of ALBA School that an encore was requested!

We are thankful for and appreciate our classroom teachers and music teachers who prepared rhis wonderful program, Ms. Dannelly with general music and Orchestra in K5-7th grade and Ms. Plog-Benavides with Samba in 5th-8th grades.

Be sure to attend our first ever Stem Night and VILS launch. There is something for everyone! The student tech team and teachers will be hosting workshops for robotic art, programming and coding. In addition, parents are invited to a workshop where students will receive their VILS Chromebooks. We look forward to seeing you tonight between 4:30-6:30pm.
