Kiwanis Club of County Seat

Dear Kiwanians & Friends of KIwanis:

On September 25th, our club will host our annual Golf Outing. This year we are honoring our New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli. We need your participation. You can play, come for dinner, or just a make contribution. This outing supports all our work for the children and it is our major fundraiser. Please consider some level of participation. You can call me if you don’t see anything on the brochure that fits your budget…

We also have plenty of room to hang your business or personal banner.

Our annual Pancake Breakfast is only one week away on February 4th at the Mineola Community Center. This year we're getting an early start on our Super Bowl Boxes. Please consider taking a chance to help us continue to make a difference. Money collected for this breakfast stays local with support for the Faith Mission Food Bank, Scholarships and health care support.

Boxes are $20 each
1st 2nd and 3rd quarter prizes are $150
Final is $550

Prizes may be adjusted for total boxes sold. We hope to see everyone on Sunday the 4th. Please contact me via phone or text to purchase your boxes.

We were very excited to have Lt. Governor John Kle come to our dinner meeting and induct our new members.

Helene and I were thinking about wearing these to our annual Black & White Ball. How do you think they will look under my white tux jacket?

I am watching Swagger on Apple TV. It’s the best series I have seen this year. It’s all about a club basketball team of 9th graders with a has been coach who should have been an NBA star but never made it due to personal issues after his father died.
The youthful star is a 15 year old basketball phenomenal player with lots of Swagger who leads his team in the right direction despite the pressures of social media and the pandemic.
I’m not finished watching but this is definitely a binge worthy watch. Go Swagger!

We must have delivered two dozen filled bags to the St. Brigid's Food Pantry this morning. Do Good!

Collecting food at the Bravo Supermarket in Westbury for the St. Brigid's food pantry. Taking a lot of pictures, of course. Special thank you to County Seat members Richard Marotta, Tony Capobianco and Ally Lichenstein for helping out. We couldn't do this without the help of the Westbury Key Club. Thank you to Nadine Schalk and Regina for always being there for Kiwanis. Thank you to Lt. Gov. Rosemary Olsen who stopped by to show her support.

We will be having our Kiwanis Club of County Seat, Mineola dinner meeting on Monday, 6:30 June 6th at the Davenport Press in Mineola. We are going to showcase our new member orientation slide show. and welcome outside guests to join us and learn more about Kiwanis.
