After nearly five decades in the business, it is with great excitement that legendary singer Alexander O’Neal heads out on his Time to Say Goodbye: Farewell World Tour. The beloved soul star is hitting the road one final time, with farewell dates to extend until mid-2024.

Time to Say Goodbye takes the audience on a wonderful journey through his incredible career with never-before-seen-photos, testimonies and tributes, all set to the tune of some of Alex's most beloved songs from his legendary catalogue including “Criticize,” “Fake” and “If You Were Here Tonight.” Accompanied by his exemplary 9-piece live band, there won’t be a dry eye in the house as audiences come together to celebrate the legacy of Alexander O’Neal.

Boasting a soulful yet tough voice noted to have the same grain and range as that of Otis Redding, Alexander O'Neal is comfortable with pumping dancefloor burners and slinky couch-cuddlers. The strength of his material and his robust vocals can be heard on his many chart-topping releases including 1985’s eponymous debut Alexander O'Neal, 1987's smash hit album Hearsay, 1991's All True Man, and 1998's Lovers Again.

Featuring special guest Candace Woodson, the answer to those who long for nostalgic and soulful R&B and jazz music. Candace is an Indie Soul Grammy winner (2019) and a UK Soul Chart Top 100 of 2021 recipient for the #1 song, Midas Touch. Candace performed with Alex across the UK on the Giants of Soul Tour in 2022 - she is back onstage saying her own farewell to him.

Alexander O’Neal came to prominence in the mid-1980s as a solo artist, with eleven Top 40 singles on the US R&B chart, three of which also reached the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100. However, he enjoyed more mainstream success in the United Kingdom, achieving fourteen Top 40 singles on the UK Singles Chart between 1985 and 1996, along with three top ten albums on the UK Albums Chart.

As part of his ‘Farewell tour’ the one and only Soul Legend Alexander O’Neal is coming to perform for us. His showcase tour ends in London at the Royal Albert Hall, we are privileged to secure a special audience with him to entertain you on Tuesday 28th May 2024 from 8pm. In collaboration with Laurent Perrier Champagne and Just3Girls It will be amazing evening with dancing until the early hours. We want this to be a night to remember. We are offering you the option to buy tickets before they go on general sale as you are special to us.

Alex will sing all his hits in an intimate atmosphere where normally he entertains thousands, we will only have a select amount of tickets available.

General entry tickets are priced at €60 to see this spectacular performance for one night only. Once they are sold there will be no more.

The Essex Soul crowd has always supported me throughout my career, they were there for me in the beginning and I’m coming back to say thank you for that support, I specifically asked that on the farewell tour there had to be a date for Cliffs Pavilion – I’ve had some memorable past shows in the theatre before, some great crowds who know how to party, I think on one show we had nearly 100 people up on stage dancing with the band – even the venue security joined in!!
